Tuesday is Monday's Ugly Sister!

The spoiler for April's Ipsy bag is that every subscriber will receive one or the other Fit or Flirty eye shadow.    The theme for the month is “If you’re not barefoot, then you’re overdressed. "  Beautifully Bohemian! 

The Birchbox spoilers are out and choice e-mails have already been sent.  There were 3 makeup choices: a Jane Iredale lip and cheek stain, Pop Beauty eye shadow palette , and a Jouer cheek tint.

Boxycharm has released its first spoiler for the April box.  Each charmer will  receive  either the OFRA's Derma Mineral Powder in "Pink Sapphire" or OFRA's Illuminating Blush Stripes.

PopSugar never does spoilers - you usually have to troll the internet near release date to find the person who takes a photo of their box first.  This has been one of my favorite boxes lately.  I am excited to see what April will include - it is was inspired by “Spring”, “Simplicity”, “Markets” and “Outdoors."

Little Lace Box's theme will be Nonna's Kitchen - all items will be for the kitchen and this is perfect because my husband loves to cook and April is his birthday month.  It will be a late surprise since this ships so late but he will love it.

Loot Crate theme will be Fantasy - it will include Princess Bride, Game of Thrones, and a Dungeons & Dragons items.  I will try to con the Princess Bride item away from my daughter and get the other items for my husband.  

That's what I have heard so far - excited for the April boxes to start arriving!

 What's in 

the box?

Boxycharm is a monthly subscription box for $21 a month.  The box includes 5 products with one of them being a high end beauty product and one being a travel size.

The theme for March was Lucky Charm.  #boxyluck

Previse Nutrify Skin Type 1-6 Universal Tonic - ($48)  I like that this has no parabens, silicones, and skin clogging petroleum ingredients.  I am always looking for more natural ingredients.  I will not be buying more of this - but excited to try it.  I like my serums from Posh that are so much better priced.

LVX Nail Laquer in Mynt-  ($16)  This is the second green nail polish bottle I have gotten this month.  Not sure when else I will wear this besides St. Patrick's Day but it is fun! 
The other shades were Lemondrop (yellow) and Deco (peach).  

Oscar Blandi Drt Styling Heat Protect Spray -   ($11) This is the travel size item this month.  I will be passing this on to my daughter who straightens her hair.  It is alcohol and paraben free too which is a plus!  This was one of the items this month where there were a variety of items passed out.  Some people received dry shampoos. 

Ofra eyeliner in black - ($13) This is a popular brand with subscription boxes and probably the item I like least in this month's box.  I do not wear eyeliner because I am terrible at applying them.

Tarte LipSurgence lip tint in Charmed -   ($24)  I love tarte products and am thrilled to get a lip product.  This is a very bright pink but I think it goes well with my skin tone.  I love their lip glosses so much.

The value on this box came to $112.  That is so high for a $21 a month subscription box.  I like a majority of the products.  I also got a discount code for tarte which I will enjoy using.

Box Hits for January and February!

January and February have been a great months to be a subscription box member.  I really am glad I cancelled a few of my cheaper boxes to get the higher value boxes. 

Yarok Feed Your Ends Leave-in Conditioner - ($19.80)   The sample for this came in a Birchbox exclusive box I was able to buy with my Birchbox points.   This stuff is amazing - it smells so good, I use it for a hair perfume when my hair is dry as well as being a leave in conditioner for when it is wet.   It makes my hair feel so soft and it looks beautiful when it dries.

Keep Cup Brew - ($24)  This lovely cup was in my PopSugar Must Have box for January and I love it.  I do not drink hot coffee - but I drink hot cocoa and tea.  I also use this for my favorite cold coffee drinks. 

Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream -  (full size $38)  Birchbox has been hitting it out of the park lately - I really think the longer you are with them, the better your boxes get.  This eye cream is fantastic.  I always notice a difference in the morning when I put it on at night. 

Beauty For Real True Color Lip Cream in Always There -  ($22)  Boxycharm had a great month in January and I love this lip gloss.  It has a mirror and a light on it!  This is so cool!  I can put lip gloss anywhere and at anytime!  

Acme Party Box Co Cutting Board and Knife -  ($42)  This cutting board came in my February box and I love it!  I took it on our Valentine's Day romantic weekend.  I love getting fun items that are useful for every day life.  

Beauty Blender with Solid Cleanser -  ($28.95)  WOW!  I was beyond excited when I opened my Birchbox in February and found a Beauty Blender.  This is the highest valued item I have ever gotten in a Birchbox.  I love that the cleanser can be used to clean my brushes as well. 

Whitley Earrings -  ($14.95)  These earrings were in my Little Lace Box for February and I was thrilled - they are handcrafted and so elegant.   I have a feeling this box will produce more of my favorites as time goes on. 

Muk Luks Slipper Sox- In my January Wantable Intimates box, I finally got a pair of the slipper sox I have been wanting for months.  These are so adorable and comfy! 

So the majority of my best of the box items came from Birchbox!  Popsugar was a close second.  I am trying to cut back on boxes so that I can put that money toward boxes I will actually get items I will use.  I have decided to keep Birchbox, PopSugar Must Have, and Little Lace Box.  I am cancelling Boxycharm and Ipsy.  I feel this will give me more items that I actually will use and not just take up space.

Boxycharm is a subscription box you can get for $21 shipped to you monthly.  It guarantees 4 full size items and 1 deluxe item.

There are Boxy charms you can earn from reviewing the products sent to you to earn products in their store.   It looks like it will take about six months to get something free unless you find people to sign up with your link. 

This month's theme was Kisses from Boxycharm.

First look:  very pleased! 

Muellin & Sparrow's Mini Facial Mask -  ($15 deluxe)  This is a clay mask, just add water and you use it weekly to refine pores and provide gentle exfoliation.  It is a deluxe size - the full size is a little bigger. 

 Mistura Beauty Solutions C-2-P Complexion Corrector -  ($36.99 CND)  This is the big value item this month and I cannot wait to try it.  It will be going into my makeup bag right away.   It says you can use it as a concealer, spot treatment, or foundation.  This was a problem item in many boxes; it was broken.  Glad to see mine came in tact. 

Jing Ai Velvet Shine Lip Jewel in Pink A Boo:  ($22)  Wow - this is pink.  It is a really pretty lip crayon.  I think I need to get the Pink Star one now.  This was an item where you could get a different shade too.  Lots of girls were happy with the Raspberry Ice.

ncLA Nail Laquer in Heart Attack -  ($16)  This is the prettiest nail polish - I love the little hearts in red and pink.  I found it really hard to paint my nails with this and get the right number of little hearts without too much polish but it's cute.  It was hard to get it open - had to wrap it in a towel and twist really hard.  

Modern Minerals Duo Fiber Mini Round Brush -  ($15)  Again, I love getting brushes in my boxes.  They are pretty expensive to get nice ones so whenever I can get a good one in a box, I am thrilled.  

I was very pleased with this month's February love box!  It has a lip product, a facial product, a tool, a nail polish, and a face mask.

What's in 

the box?

Boxycharm is a subscription box that ships to you for $21 a month.  I had signed up over a year ago and cancelled this because their boxes were not that great.  But they have totally done a turn around and are putting out some great boxes.  They promise 4 full sized items and a luxury item each month.  They also now ship to PO Boxes which is great.

Pur-Lisse Skin Sparkle Flash Tattoos - ($12) This was probably the item I was the least excited about - will probably pass this on to a friend.  

Beauty for Real The Perfect Pencil -   ($14)  This is a very nice lip pencil.  Love that they gave us this with lip cream.  Perfect pairing!  I rarely get a lip pencil in a subscription box - usually it is an eyeliner.   Use BFRLUVSBOXY for 20% your purchase before January 31.

Beauty For Real True Color Lip Cream in Always There - ($22) How cute is this lip gloss?  It has a mirror on the side to apply your lip cream!  So cute and the perfect shade!

 Mirabella Face Prime  -  ($29)  Wow - the value of this box just gets higher and higher!  I cannot wait to try this face primer.  I like this cosmetic brand - it is popular in subscription boxes.

tarte Maracuja Bronzing Serum -  ($47)  The ladies on my makeup addict Facebook page have either hate this or love it - some say it turned their skin orange.  It must be something that only works for certain skin tones.  I will probably have the orange since my skin is so white I look like a ghost.  I will give it a try and pass it on to my sister if it does turn me orange.

The value on this box was $124!  That was astonishing!  I have never seen a box that was this price point have that much in value.  So glad I signed back up for this one.

I walked all over the mall today looking for a wallet.  I saw some great Coach ones that were way over my price range and a Michael Kors one for $138.  SO, no luck!  I will probably be ordering from Thirty-One again.  They have a Perfect Cents wallet that is so handy with lots of card slots and space and it is only $28.  The pattern I am looking at is the Bubble Bloom.

I was also looking for a table for my makeup collection.  It has to be a slim table that will fit against a wall in my bedroom.  I might have to make a trip to IKEA to find just the right one.

I think this is just right size.  It is a MALM dressing table and it is has a nice drawer. 

Once I have the table, I will be looking for fun ways to organize on it for my makeup.  I like this look but do not know how much of my makeup collection it would actually hold.

I will probably get a few of these acrylic containers to hold lots of different sized makeup in.

I joined Boxycharm this month and am excited for the boxes they have been curating lately!  I missed December's box but it was a winner.  It included the Coastal Scents Revealed 2 palette. 

Tuesday is Monday's Ugly Sister

Lots of news is coming out for deals and sales for this weekend!  Ulta is having lots of sales and specials.  The $12 Lorac Vintage Vixen palette is calling me.  I like Urban Decay's Big Fatty too and it's on sale for $10.

Sephora is of course having good sales this weekend too.  You can join snapchat and follow Sephorasnaps for pics of deals; which I think is really fun! 

BoxyCharm came out with a big spoiler for December and they are really promoting it - I got two e-mails about it.  The Coastal Scents Revealed Palette 2.  I actually got this free with my Birchbox points a few months ago so I will not be jumping on this one but it has lots of people interested.  Just know if you join right now you will get the November box and then be charged again in December for this Revealed box.  

Coastal Scents is one of my favorite little guilty pleasures.  I ordered the Pink Combo set last month and you can read my review here.

I am contemplating subbing to The Little Lace Box.  It is $40 a month, so pricier than other boxes I have joined but the value is there.  I am really loving the reviews I have seen of this one - but November and December have sold out.  I hope to get in for January.
