the box?

Birchbox is a sample monthly subscription kit for $10 a month.   The real value in this sub is the online store and the points you earn every month.  You can turn these points into money in the BB store.  

The box this month was decorated for October Breast Cancer Awareness and it is beautiful.  I love this gorgeous, marble pink.  

Stila Huge mascara -   I have wanted to try this mascara for awhile - it was my choice of the month from the 5 mascaras we could choose.  I am loving how this feels on my lashes. 

Klorane Dry Shampoo -   I have received this dry shampoo in many boxes and it really is not my favorite.  I will be passing it along to my BB swap buddy! (Hi, Swap Buddy!) 

Dr Jart Ceramidin Cream -     This is a lightweight cream to moisturize the skin.  I love the moisturizer I already use so this too will go to my Swap Buddy.

Bio Republic Aloe Rescue Mask -  I have gotten this mask several times in boxes over the last year so it too will be passed on to my Swap Buddy.  

Number 4 Lumiere dhiver Fluoro5 Elixir Restore & Repair -  This is a hair oil - I love hair oils so I cannot wait to see if this lives up to the Number 4 reputation.  

I would say this was not the perfect box for me since I am swapping out 3 of the 5 items.  I do love the two that I am keeping, however, so that is a nice trade off.  I also get to review the items (most of which I have already tried) to earn more points for spending in the online store.  I really do not know how people save them up because I usually cave at $20 worth.  Do you get Birchbox?  Join here.   If you do, did you get some great samples this month?

Friday Deals and Steals!

Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty is coming to an end tomorrow - I picked up about 3 of the deals. 


 I got the Urban Decay eye shadow potion and also picked up the makeup all-nighter spray.  I got the Redken and Argan Oil hair Shampoo and Conditioner as samples.

I also picked up the Laura Geller Highlighter and dual brush when it was on sale.

Too Faced Blush was also on sale during the beauty sale and I picked up two of them - Candy Glow and Something about Berry.  

Today the beauty sale is it Bye Bye redness cream and the Fat Girl Sixpack.  Tomorrow is Smashbox foundation primer and Stila lip gloss.  

Sephora in JC Penney was giving away sample Purity and Renewed Hope in a Jar to all its VIB card holders so I went in and found a bunch of necessities I needed.  I picked up the Beauty Blender solid cleanser, a Sephora CC creme that was on sale, and Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant mascara.  I received this mascara for my birthday last year and it has become one of my go to mascaras.

Sunday Funday!

How gorgeous are these new Stila palettes?  They are so pretty!  They are Body, Soul, Spirit, and Mind.

I am also crazy about these Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Cream blushes!  They are so pretty inside and out.   These were on Hautelook and probably will be again in a few months.

Too Faced also came out with these limited edition blush and bronzer palettes, they are called Soul Mates - Carrie & Big - and Ross & Rachel.  They are each $34.  You can get these at Sephora or at Too Faced.

I bought a few of the Tupperware heart containers for $4 online the other day and they finally got here on Friday!  Love how big and cute they are.  I am going to use them for gifts and loyal Posh customers.

I also bought this cute pink Penguin water bottle - I love penguins!  I got the b one - pink penguin.  

Paul & Joe is a cosmetic line that did those cat lipsticks from awhile ago!  I wish I could find one but I would never use it!  Anyway, their new Spring collection is coming out soon and look how cute it is?  

Sephora actually handed me out some samples with purchase this week and I have fallen in love with a fragrance - Simply Pink by Pink Sugar.

Saturday Deals and Steals!

Quarterly is having a 50% sale on some of their past boxes and I found one that I really loved.  It was the Glamour Box by Coco.  It sold out so fast!  It has over $75 value and was on sale for $25.

There are still a lot of their boxes still available - even the really nice ones that are not on sale.  

Hautelook is another site I follow to get great deals on makeup - right now Stila, Tarina Tarantino cosmetics, and Crown brushes are on it.  Stila ends Monday at 8 AM Pacific.

Tarina Tarantino is a cosmetic brand that I occasionally find in my subscription boxes and I love it - this sales ends Sunday at 8 am Pacific.  This makeup line is so pretty.  I am really considering getting the Dollskin Cream blush and Pressed Sparklicity in Mr. Pink.

Crown brushes sales also ends Monday at 8 am Pacific.  This brush set is on sale for $10.  My favorite brush right now is a crown eye shadow brush that has a brush on each end!  Love it!

Sunday Funday!

I was in Dick's Sporting Goods a week or so ago and they had finally restocked those Cabin Socks I have been wanting since before Christmas.   They were still buy one get one free!  I picked up these two pairs. 

I got a few Sephora gift cards for Christmas and bought some goodies online.  They finally arrived this week:

Stila Glow & Behold set - this came with Stila blush, lip pencil and gloss with a headband.  So pretty!  It was on sale too - $20.  

tarte Sweet Dreams set -  This is the other set I bought - the eye cream, blush and maracuja oil.   I bought this because I am in love with the blush!  So pretty!

bite beauty lipstick - bite had these cute little stocking stuffers for $12 and I picked up one.  I like that there are two shades on each stick - so fun! 

So I have a lot of goodies coming in this week - Birchbox, Ipsy, Nordstrom Rack, and Beauty  Box 5 store order.  I will be reviewing as fast as they come in!  Enjoy your Sunday!

Monday Yearnings

There are a bunch of new makeup sets out there for the Holiday season!

The first collection is Sweet Dreams by Tarte.  They have brush sets, blush sets, and lip gloss sets.  This collection is very beautiful. 

This portable compact has blush, eye shadow, mascara, and mini glosses.

Too Faced has released a Holiday collection.  Bella Carousel, Melted Kisses, Everything Nice,  Under the Mistletoe are just a few of the new sets.  This collection might be my favorite for the packaging alone! 

Benefit has also released their Holiday collection that looks like a sweet shop - first up is a nice little blush box. 

The Sweet Shoppe is open for limited edition sets at Benefit.

 Candy Coated Countdown has a ton of my favorite sample size Benefit products.

Sweet Tintations has the tints and the balms. 

 Urban Decay has also put out their Holiday Collection - the colors are fantastic!  Edgier and more shades than any of the other collections.

Smashbox has a new holiday collection that is similar in tones to Urban Decay.  This is a very sophisticated set; think Audrey Hepburn.

Stila has also put together several holiday collection sets.  They have some very beautiful jewelry in these sets as well.  Sparkling Rose is my absolute favorite!  Beautiful rose bracelet!

There are some wonderful Holiday collections we will miss out on here in the States unless you can find a buyer overseas for you!  These two are from Japan and so fantastic I can barely stand it!

I made a run to JC Penney the other day, and that means a trip to SEPHORA!  I love being a Beauty Insider.  The SummerStash set that I have been eyeing since the beginning of summer has come down to $25 so I picked that up.  I also scored some samples from the loveliest team member there. I got a mask, a moisturizer, and a couple of packets of night creme.  The SummerStash bag had Urban Decay setting spray, an eye liner, a Stila eyeshadow, a Nars bronzer, Benefit It's Real mascara, a lip stain with brush, and a nail polish.

These flowers are beautiful and they are blooming right now in my yard!  I don't know what they are called but they are my favorite summer blooming flower.

I was surfing the Perfectly Posh site and found this gem!  UnRadical is a portable balm that smells amazing.  It has Essential Oils and shea butter for detoxing.  I love it!
