Friday Deals and Steals!

Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty is coming to an end tomorrow - I picked up about 3 of the deals. 


 I got the Urban Decay eye shadow potion and also picked up the makeup all-nighter spray.  I got the Redken and Argan Oil hair Shampoo and Conditioner as samples.

I also picked up the Laura Geller Highlighter and dual brush when it was on sale.

Too Faced Blush was also on sale during the beauty sale and I picked up two of them - Candy Glow and Something about Berry.  

Today the beauty sale is it Bye Bye redness cream and the Fat Girl Sixpack.  Tomorrow is Smashbox foundation primer and Stila lip gloss.  

Sephora in JC Penney was giving away sample Purity and Renewed Hope in a Jar to all its VIB card holders so I went in and found a bunch of necessities I needed.  I picked up the Beauty Blender solid cleanser, a Sephora CC creme that was on sale, and Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant mascara.  I received this mascara for my birthday last year and it has become one of my go to mascaras.

Saturday Steals and Deals....

and a box!

My Walmart box came in the mail and it had several sample items as well as some larger travel size.  This box is only $5 to pay for the shipping so it is a nice box to get to try out products before you buy them.

I ordered the other day from Ulta when they were having an Urban Decay eye shadows for 50% off.  I have a palette that you fill from Urban Decay and I needed two more shadows to fill it.  I ordered two of the eye shadows: Midnight Cowgirl and Snatch.  Anatomicals had a sale too on their hand washes so I picked up two of them.  The tarte and smashbox were samples.  

 Ulta is doing a 21 days of Beauty sale right now.   I have a few days I am anxiously awaiting. 

 I wonder what other sales are going on right now?  

Sunday Funday!

I have several items in my carts at Ulta, Sephora, and Birchbox right now!  I love putting stuff in carts and then deciding if I am still in love with them later.  I am an impulse buyer so this helps me think about things for a few days to determine if I really need what I have in my cart or just want it for whole everyone is getting it thing!  

Ulta has a store about 35 minutes from my house that I usually have to save up to go to because I cannot leave it without spending over $100.  Right now, in my cart, is the Japonesque Color set.  It is so pretty.  It is $28. 

I also have a L'Oreal Color Riche Lipcolor in Spice.  This looked so pretty on the You-tube person I saw it on so I had to add it to my shopping cart.  This lipstick is $7.99.

I had a Beauty Blender in my Sephora bag but now that I am getting one with my Birchbox, I took it out!  I do have this Tony Moly Bbo Bbo lip balm in my cart still.  This is $9.  

In my Birchbox cart, I have several non-makeup items.  Kate Spade makes this really cute book mug.  It is $18.  

I also have the cutest little macaroon trinket box in my cart. I really love it!  These are $13.95 and I really want the darker pink one and the peach one! 

My favorite color right now in makeup is peach!  I love peach - it is my second favorite color next to sky blue.  I have a few of these items (#6, #8, and #11) I but need them all!

Tuesday is Monday's Ugly Sister

Lots of news is coming out for deals and sales for this weekend!  Ulta is having lots of sales and specials.  The $12 Lorac Vintage Vixen palette is calling me.  I like Urban Decay's Big Fatty too and it's on sale for $10.

Sephora is of course having good sales this weekend too.  You can join snapchat and follow Sephorasnaps for pics of deals; which I think is really fun! 

BoxyCharm came out with a big spoiler for December and they are really promoting it - I got two e-mails about it.  The Coastal Scents Revealed Palette 2.  I actually got this free with my Birchbox points a few months ago so I will not be jumping on this one but it has lots of people interested.  Just know if you join right now you will get the November box and then be charged again in December for this Revealed box.  

Coastal Scents is one of my favorite little guilty pleasures.  I ordered the Pink Combo set last month and you can read my review here.

I am contemplating subbing to The Little Lace Box.  It is $40 a month, so pricier than other boxes I have joined but the value is there.  I am really loving the reviews I have seen of this one - but November and December have sold out.  I hope to get in for January.

Perfectly Posh is going to have lots of good deals this weekend too.  The Santa's Little Healer will be free with every order from Thursday to Sunday.  You do not add the healer to the cart - our lovely warehouse will put it in your box.  Free Shipping happens on Thursday and Friday.

My Fun Birthday!

Happy Birthday

to Me!

I celebrated the big 4-0 this last week and it was a great celebration.  My sisters, mother and husband went down to the Marriot in Indianapolis that was right across from the Keystone Crossing Mall.  

My sister and mother sweetly decorated my hotel room with Pink and Silver streamers and balloons.  I made sure to tell them no over the hill decorations!  I was celebrating my new age not mourning it!

My friend Annette owns a baking business and she made me these delicious Orange Dreamsicle cupcakes!  They are fantastic!

My oldest and dearest friend Jeanie could not make it to the festivities but she sent this lovely gift box from FTD with yummy treats in it! 

The floor was covered in pink and silver balloons!

And these balloons were all over the ceiling!  So fun!

For dinner, we went to the Cheesecake Factory.  This restaurant is so beautiful.  I loved looking up at all the decor.  I had pretzel dipped chicken bites and fried zucchini for dinner so I had room to have a desert! 

They brought out my plate of cheesecake all decorated for my birthday!  How sweet!

My friend Julie made it to the party and had the best Oreo cheesecake! She let me try a bite and the fudge was fantastic.  Must get this one next time I am there.

The main event for my birthday was shopping at my favorite makeup stores!  Ulta was right across the side road of the hotel!  PERFECT!  I picked up the Marc Anthony Beach Spray, the Urban Decay all nighter setting spray and the CK mascara was a freebie for my birthday.  I had a $10 off coupon as well.   At the mall, we hit Sephora - where I bought the Urban Decay Basics 2 palette and got the birthday gift set Make Up For Ever mascara and lipstick.
We went into Mac and I picked up a blush. 

We also went into Lush so I could try a few of their products.  I bought a bath bomb and the Fruit gift set.  The gift set was $35 and a great value.  The nice sales lady gave me a sample soap and New Dream Cream.  This photo is missing the Miranda soap that was in my bathroom already. 

I had a great birthday weekend!  Fun, shopping, food, family and friends!  My favorite things in life!
