Little Lace Box August 2015

What's in
the box?

Little Lace Box is a bi-monthly subscription that has been fabulously curated by sisters.  It is $59.99 bi-monthly and $49.99 bi-monthly after the initial payment.   Right now, Serendipity is free for subscribers of Little Lace box as they work out the glitches with their little bag that ships on the off months of Little Lace Box.  Serendipity is $9.99 for
non-subscribers.

The theme of this month's box was Elizabeth and Mr Darcy!  This is my favorite Jane Austen book.  I love the European flair of this box!

My Shea-Rona Shea Butter -  ($19.99) This is the same scent I recieved in the scrub two months ago in this box and I really was not crazy about it - it is a bit too floraly for me.  I will use it to soften my feet.  I am really wanting to purchase the You Leave me Peachless though since I love that scent.

Define Me by Jennifer McKay Newton  (Audry) -  ($36)  Audry "is inspired by love and believes it is always the answer."  This scent is described as jasmine, peony, rose, and sandalwood.  I have a slight problem with sandalwood - it is pretty light though so I might be able to wear it still

Bouquet of Flowers by Bouqs -  ($40) We get to order a bouquet of flowers for one of our gifts from the box.  I think this is a really personal choice and I am actually glad they could not send me one with the box because I have flower allergies.  I need to pick them out for myself.  This is a nice little online floral service that does not charge shipping!  Check them out!

The Elizabeth and Mr Darcy Flower Vase by Mary Rose Young- ($124 w/shipping) This was created especially for the Little Lace Box and it is beautiful.  It is my favorite thing in the box and if I did not love it, it probably would not have been that great of a box for me.  The vase has two roses on it that symbolize Elizabeth and Mr Darcy.  The artist made two other pieces that fit nicely with this one - a shoe and a saucer.  It was fun to search around the site and the price is actually a bargain for her pieces.

The box had an amazing value this month and I was impressed by the hand-crafted vase made in England.  I am glad I loved the most expensive item in the box or I would not have thought this month's was worth the money.  The box had a value of almost $200.  The October box, the theme is “Authentic Autumn – Be Your Authentic Self” and will feature a box full of wonderful items that will allow you to get creative and show your authentic self.  October is my birthday month so this will be a nice box to end the month!

Did you get the Little Lace Box this month?  What are your thoughts?

Little Lace Box june 2015

What's in
the box?

My Little Lace Box made it just in time for the end of the month.  This subscription is $59.99 bi-monthly.  I was lucky to get in on the ground floor, so I only pay $39.99.  You do save money by purchasing a larger subscription. Also, Serendipity, a smaller grab bag of goodies, is being sent on the LLB off months for free while they work out all the glitches.

This month's theme was "A girl should be two things - Classy and Fabulous "- Coco Chanel. The letters that they send with their boxes are personable and show that they really curate these boxes with love!  This month's box was inspired by old movies of Audrey Hepburn and Doris Day.

Watercolor silk scarf -  ($45.99)  This is an LLB exclusive and it is beautiful.  I am not a big scarf wearer but I like to to tie them on purses and bags.

Kitsch ring - ($35)  There were two rings given out - both gold rings but one with Amethyst and one with Turquoise.  I got the Turquoise stone.  I love this pretty ring.

LucyB's Apothecary - Nail Lacquer -  ($12.99)  There were two shades of nail polish given out - starlet and premier.  They determined which one you would get by which ring you received.   The Premier one was in my box.

Pour Some Sugar on Me (Lollabambooza) -   ($19.99) There were four scents sent out to box subscribers - You Leave Me Peaches, Coconut Mango Mimosa, and Oatmeal Milk & Honey were the other three. I did not get a scent I like very much.  I would have liked the Peaches or Coconut Mango.  I tried to find these in their shop but no luck.

The Packable Summer Hat by San Diego Hat Company -  ($27.99)  There were three hats sent out in the boxes. I love the one I received.  It is fun and will be nice to throw in a bag to take to the pool or beach for sun protection.

This was a lovely box - I will use almost everything in it and what I do not will be a great gift.  This is exactly the level of curation I have come to expect from Little Lace Box - they did not disappoint me!  I paid $40 and got a box with about $140 worth of merchandise.  I am eagerly awaiting August's box as the theme is Elizabeth & Mr. Darcy -  characters from one of my favorite Jane Austen books.

Serendipity by Little Lace Box

What's in
the bag?

I was thrilled to receive my little gift from Little Lace Box for May - the Serendipity gift bag.    They will be sending them free to all Little Lace Box subscribers until they work out all the kinks in this subscription bag.  Normally it would ship for $9.99 a month on the off months of LLB.  The bag will be an assortment of items that do not fit the themes of their Lace boxes.

OFRA Eyebrow Pencil - ($13) At first, I thought this was an eyeliner and was not thrilled - eyeliner must be the most added product to a sub box!  I have more than I will ever be able to go through in my lifetime.  But it is actually an eyebrow pencil, which I currently do not own so this is a plus.  It may be too dark for my eyebrows but I will give it a whirl. This is also made in the USA, cruelty free and all natural which is a big plus for me.

OFRA Lip Liner in Plum - ($13)  I like getting lip liner in my bags and boxes since I use them all the time and they are not put in them very often.  This is a darker shade them I am use to but it looks like it will go nicely with the gloss that is also in the bag.

OFRA Lip Gloss in Bordeaux - ($13) This is a very pretty gloss.   There are several shades on their website to choose from too.   This does not contain parabens either.

Bella Ink - ($3.95)  Every bag came with a cute little card from this designer.  I love the cupcake one I was sent - there are other items on Little Lace Box's site for sale.

Brode Electrolyte Vitamin -  ($4) I cannot believe I have never heard of these!  They are perfect for my athlete son.  He runs and wrestles, so he is a year-round athlete with little breaks.  I am going to be buying him a box of these for his meets.

And if that was not enough - a coupon for 2 for 1 bottle of wine with $1 shipping!~  Cairdean Estate is a winery in Napa Valley, California and with this great deal, I can get 2 bottles of a white wine for $39 shipped to me.

This really was a hodge podge of items and what a steal!   Just the makeup alone was $40 and the bag sells for $9.99 normally - I got it free as a gift for being a Little Lace Box subscriber.

Little Lace Box is one of my favorite monthly boxes and I am super excited about June's upcoming box that has the theme:
Classy and Fabulous!  "Our June box will shower you with inspiration and accessories to glam up your summer style and take you from day to dinner."   This box is currently sold out so I hope you took my advice in April and signed up.

What's Up Wednesday?

Happy Wednesday!  I have a bunch of goodies arriving this week.  I cannot wait for several of them.

Little Lace Box is starting up a little goodie bag for the month's they do not send their bi-monthly box - it will be called Serendipity and will contain 5-7 goodies in sample and full sizes.  Right now, it is free to subscribers but you can purchase it for $9.99 if you are not a member.
I joined FabFitFun after they did a special to save $10 and get a free infuser bottle.  I got an email that my box is on its way.  It must be the Spring box as the Summer box does not ship until June 22.  I hope it is that box as I really want the Rifle Company cities coaster set and Ofra makeup brushes.  I will keep you posted.

I have been addicted to Washi tape for awhile now and Amazon has some lovely ones to add on to your order.  These are Martha Stewart Vintage Girl and Modern Festive.

The Ipsy glam rooms are up if you want to share to Facebook and look at your bag.  I think I am waiting this time to be surprised.  I have never been able to not look before but I have found that I like being surprised.  I do know what the bag looks like and that it will contain either a Too Faced Melted liptick or a Smashbox primer.

Saturday Steals, Deals and Box Love!

Steals, Deals, and Box Love!

Just keep entering those giveaways, Ladies and Gentleman! People do win!  I won a great giveaway by Beeju Boxes this week.  Three months of Birchbox!   I was very excited.  I have been looking for an excuse to get a second BB - and this was it!  I signed my daughter right up for her own box and used code BB50OFF to get it for $5.  I missed getting the beauty blender and cleanser for free but they will do that special again.  Just be on the lookout!

Hautelook is another place I frequent for makeup deals and steals.  There is an app for your phone or you can visit them online.  The Urban Decay sale was kind of a bust this time.  There were 12 items and most of them were eye liners.  If you have not picked up the Pulp Fiction palette, it is on there for a good price when I looked today.  I did have great luck on theBalm sale days and ordered another group of items.  BH cosmetics was also on a few weeks ago, and I got some great deals on their palettes.

I am waiting on a few more subscription boxes for May - my daughter's Loot Crate, Lip Love by SoSusan, and Glossybox.  I am excited to see what Lip Love has in it this month.

Little Lace Box is also sending a gift to all its subscribers this month, so I will post what they send when I receive it.  I did get my free bottle of olive oil from their coupon in the April box!  Little Lace Box is now quarterly so June is their next box too.  I am so excited I was locked in at their early price too! These boxes are now $60 - and worth every penny! Love their curations!

I have a few quarterly boxes that will come out next month, so that is super exciting.  Style Quarterly is a new one I have signed up to check out.  I had a discount to join so that is always nice.

I am contemplating cancelling PopSugar Must Have box.  I know!  I think I need to downsize again and this is the box that comes monthly for $40.  My quarterly boxes at the same price are blowing this box out of the water.  I will probably review June's box and decide.  The spoiler this month is a pair of Quay sunglasses.  These do retail for $50 so that is well worth my box price.

What boxes are you waiting for this month?  Any new ones I should check out?

Little Lace Box April Review 2015

What's in
the box?

Little Lace Box has changed up its subscription box and will no longer be sending monthly boxes.  This was the last one and the next box ships in June to start the every other month box system.  I am excited I was in on this box early!  It is one of my favorites.

April's theme is Nonna's Kitchen - items in the box represent items that remind them of their grandmother.  I feel like this box was shipped to me from Italy - love it!

Olive Oil Dipping Bowls by Le Cadeaux -  ($15.99)  Another nice thing about the Little Lace Box is that if you just adore what you got in the box, you can purchase it in their store!  Say you need eight more of these to complete your set - go right over and buy them! I am not sure how long products stay in the store, but right after the launch of the box, I know they are there.  These are the prettiest dipping bowls I have seen and I will enjoy dipping my breads in them!

Porcelain Jewelry Dish by Artisan Janelle Beaulieu - ($14.99) The sweetest story came with this and I am excited to have one of my very own for my future grandchildren to remember me by!  I do take off my jewelry before working on things in the kitchen so this will get a lot of use.  Just Beautiful!

Tea Towel by Belle & Union Co -  ($14.99)  This is probably the only item I was not that excited about - I would have preferred a design that went more with the theme of the box.  They do have some really cute ones in their shop - go see the Whimsical Recipe Tea Towels.

Market List Notepad by Brianna -   ($4.99)  This was created to go along with the tea towel.  I love making lists!

Filotea Pennette della Domenica from Marx Foods -   ($8.99) I am planning a great little Italian dinner with all the goodies in this box and I really only have to buy a few items!  This was picked for us by some girls who know pasta so I am excited to try it.

Gourmet Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar by The Ancient Olive -  ($13.99) My husband was very excited to see these bottles - he loves to cook fancy stuff.  I like to watch him cook! These were bottled just for us.

Cucina Dish Soap from Fruits & Passion -   ($8.99)  I love that they included us a cute bottle of dish soap - I end up doing the dishes because my hubby does the cooking.  This smells amazing too!

Trentasette Red Pesto with Truffles from Marx Foods -   ($ 8.99) This will be fun to dip my Italian bread in this during my Italian dinner!  This sounds amazing!

Ancient Olive Oil or Balsamic Vinegar - ($13.99)  An item that was not included is a full size bottle of our choice of Olive Oil or Balsamic Vinegar.  They gave us a code for this in the shop because due to the West Coast dock strikes, the bottles were held up.  I got a code to go in and have this sent to me free of charge.  I love this box!

What a great value box!  I paid $39.99 for this and the value is over $100.  I feel like they shipped their Italian grandma's kitchen to my door.   This was a fantastically curated box.

Ladies, I am giving you the heads up now - go buy the box that ships in June - the theme is Classy and Fabulous!  "Our June box will shower you with inspiration and accessories to glam up your summer style and take you from day to dinner."

Little Lace Box March 2015

What's in
the box?

Little Lace Box is a lifestyle subscription box that has had some really great curated boxes.  I have really enjoyed the boxes I have received.  This subscription is $39.99 and arrives the last week in March.  While they are working out a few kinks, they are not taking on any new subscribers but check back in May.

Each box has a letter from the curators and a preview of the next month's box.  The Theme next month is Nonna's Kitchen.

The other side of the letter describes the items in this month's box.   "Here Comes The Sun" is the theme for March.

Kate Spade Water Bottle - ($29.99)  I was very pleased with the water bottle I received - the gold glitter one.  I would never pay this much for a water bottle so I am thrilled with this.  There were also pink and blue ones sent out but I love this one the best.  I was looking at glass ones in Barnes & Noble the other day so when I saw this in my box I knew it was perfect.

Cali Baronessa Olivia Hair Cleanser  (Shampoo) & Hair Masque (Conditioner) -  ($31.99)  There were two choices being sent out in this box.  This one is the olive oil one and the other was the Red Orange extract one.  I would have liked either.  I would never spend this much on shampoo and conditioner so I am excited to get this in my box.

All Natural Urban Spa Sea Sponge -  ($12.50)  I really love this - this feels so much better than the loofah I use in the shower.  I am excited to try this out and I could see buying this again.  I am also happy to find this website - there are tons of items I would like on it.

12x12 Gallery Wrap Mounted Canvas Print -  ($51.99)  I am so excited about this! I have wanted to get some nice canvas prints but they are very expensive for the high quality ones.  This is also the second one I have gotten this month so I can pick my favorite family photos to make into a canvas print.

Another great month curated by the Little Lace Box sisters.  This box has a fantastic value!  I do not know how they can do it!  Are you on the list to get this box or are you still trying to get on the subscription list?  Keep trying!  It took me a few months too.
