Ink & Wink September Kit 2015

What's in
the box?

Ink & Wink is a subscription box for planner junkies.  You request an invitation to join and when they have spots available, they send you an email to purchase the monthly box.  It is $23 a month and that includes shipping.  There were variations in every item of the box except the Ariel bookmark and the Masking Sticker Set.

Glitter Zebra Striped Washi Tape -   ($1.98)  What planner junkie kit would be complete without washi tape?  I do not have anything like this so it is perfect for me.

Trees and Children Washi Tape -   ($2.50)  I love this washi tape - I had never seen it before getting this kit.  It is my favorite item in the box.

Ariel Bookmark -  ($2.95)  This is handrawn by an artist named Dalyn and her work is just beautiful.  This bookmark is the reason I snatched up the Ink & Wink kit - I love it!  She has more great artwork on her site so check it out.  There was a coupon code as well to get a discount in her shop.

Masking Sticker Set -  ($1.99)  These are like washi tapes on a card.  There are 27 sheets of different designs with slim, regular size and dots.  There are lots of versions of this set on Etsy and they range is price.

Rilakkuma Cream Bear Paper Clip - ($3.12) I am so happy this is the one I received in the box.  It is the cutest!  I will use it with my new Hello Kitty travel notebook.

Kitty House-it Note Pad -  ($1.75) I have been looking at these online but I think it will be a perfect gift to include in a pocket letter for my cousin who loves cats.

Lion and Lion Cub Note Pads -  ($1.80)  I cannot believe I do not own any of these.  They are so cute and fun!   There is a whole line of different animals to collect.

Cat One Point Marker  ($2.20)  More fun page markers!  I love these cats so much and the colors are so pretty.

Yellow Marker -  I like getting markers in boxes because it does not happen often.  I am not sure what company makes these and I could not find any info on them online.

Orange Macaroon -  ($3.50) This cute little macaroon trinket box was also included.  I have a few of these but not this color so this was perfect.

Hawaii Paper Party Card Candies -    These are the other hand made items in the kit.  These little goodies can be used to make paperclips, decorate your planners, scrapbooking or card decorating.  There was also a coupon code for this shop in the box.

The only thing I am a little concerned about is that the website says you will get 12-14 items in the box - I received 10 unless she is counting those three little paper embellishments individually.  I believe that is stretching it - and the value was hard to figure out but it is close to what you pay for the box.  I do like the items she has enclosed in her kit.

Purchased.  All opinions are my own and no compensation was received.

Birchbox October 2015 Review

What's in
the box?

Birchbox is a sample monthly subscription kit for $10 a month.   The real value in this sub is the online store and the points you earn every month.  You can turn these points into money in the BB store.

The box this month was decorated for October Breast Cancer Awareness and it is beautiful.  I love this gorgeous, marble pink.

Stila Huge mascara -   I have wanted to try this mascara for awhile - it was my choice of the month from the 5 mascaras we could choose.  I am loving how this feels on my lashes.

Klorane Dry Shampoo -   I have received this dry shampoo in many boxes and it really is not my favorite.  I will be passing it along to my BB swap buddy! (Hi, Swap Buddy!)

Dr Jart Ceramidin Cream -     This is a lightweight cream to moisturize the skin.  I love the moisturizer I already use so this too will go to my Swap Buddy.

Bio Republic Aloe Rescue Mask -  I have gotten this mask several times in boxes over the last year so it too will be passed on to my Swap Buddy.

Number 4 Lumiere dhiver Fluoro5 Elixir Restore & Repair -  This is a hair oil - I love hair oils so I cannot wait to see if this lives up to the Number 4 reputation.

I would say this was not the perfect box for me since I am swapping out 3 of the 5 items.  I do love the two that I am keeping, however, so that is a nice trade off.  I also get to review the items (most of which I have already tried) to earn more points for spending in the online store.  I really do not know how people save them up because I usually cave at $20 worth.  Do you get Birchbox?  Join here.   If you do, did you get some great samples this month?

Derby the Owl Set

What's in
the set?

Instagram is a great way to find little online stores selling items you cannot find here in the United States.  I follow Holly Molly who is out of Malaysia and has the cutest online store.  She loves putting together fun kits and I could not resist the owl kit.  The kit is called Derby the Owl and it so cute.  It was $9.99 but the shipping can be high - try to order all the items you want at the same time.

Owl Stickers -  You cannot have an owl kit without stickers!  These are adorable and so colorful.  These will be fun to use in my planners and pocket letters.

Owl Ruler - I was just thinking the other day I need to get a cute ruler.  This is perfect.  I can keep it in my planner or travel notebook too.

Birds and Flowers Notebook -    This is smaller than most inserts for travel notebooks but I like it as a filler notebook.  This has brown kraft paper inside it so it will be nice for photos and decorating.

Owl Washi Tape -  ($6.35)  I think this may be my favorite owl washi tape ever! It is so cute and fun.  The pink is perfect and I love the background with the leaves and florals.

Owl Keychain -   This keychain is the main reason I bought this kit! It is beautiful and I am going to attach it to a gold planner - when I get one!  It is even more gorgeous in person.

Derby the Owl - This is another reason I grabbed up this kit when I saw it on Instagram.  He is really cute and will make a nice little pouch for holding charms or other planner goodies.  I did a search to try and find this online, and the cutest coin purses appeared!

Owl Wood Clip -   This owl matches the ruler and is super cute.  He is super tiny and I will probably clip him in my Mr Sly travel notebook or save it for when I have an Owl travel notebook.

Pink Owl Clips -  I have no idea what I will use these clips for but they are adorable.  If you have any ideas, please let me know.

Mustache Clips -   I love these clips!  They are fun and so me!  I will use them in my travel notebooks, probably Mr Sly.

Owl Sticker Clips -   I got these owls in my Happie Scrappie kit a few months ago but they are so fun and cute, I can always use more.

Owl Stick Marker -  I have just started collecting these so this is the perfect addition.  I do not have the owl ones yet.  You can use these to decorate planners, bookmark pages, and make study notes.

Pink Owl Pencil Sharpener -   I love cuteness, but when it is also functional?  Perfect!  This is my new favorite pencil sharpener.

Owl Charm -   As if all those goodies weren't enough, there was this cute owl charm!  It is tiny and beautiful and might just deserve its own travel notebook.

This Derby the Owl kit could not be cuter!  I loved everything in it and will use it all in my planners and travel notebooks.   Holly Molly is working on putting together a Rilakkuma kit. I missed out on the Totoro and Hello Kitty kits so I would hate to miss that one!

Have you bought any of Holly Molly's kits?

Tuesday is Monday's Ugly Sister

Fun Birthday weekend!  I got several items on my wishlist - a laminate machine and several Sephora gift cards to shop for the makeup I wanted.   I also had Cinderella DVD and a Sherlock Funko POP on my list and I received both of those items.  I need to update this for Christmas - the Marion Smith Designs planner is still on the list!

I had a lot of fun laminating the goodies I have been saving for when I got one.  There were a lot of die cuts that I wanted to laminate so they stayed nice in my planners and were reusable.

I also made some A5 dividers for my Marion Smith planner I am waiting on - they are from a Princess Bride calendar.   Someone on Facebook posted how they had turned an old Audrey Hepburn calendar into dividers and I had to try it with my calendar!

My Viedori finally arrived after having shipping issues - Mr Sly is adorable and I had so much fun filling him with goodies.  These are $29 a piece but she often does sales - check out her Facebook page as well to follow her.

I got a great buy at TJ Maxx - found some large notebooks 3 for $4.99 and cut them down to fit in my travel notebooks.  I bought two packages of them so 2 can go in each of my travel notebooks.

Hope you are having a great Tuesday - any crafty ideas to share?

Glossybox October 2015

What's in
the box?

Glossybox is a subscription box with full and sample size makeup, hair, and skin products.  This month the theme was Paris so I had to snatch up a box.  The box is $21 a month.

First Look:

La Roche-Posay Redermic R ($9.50)  This is an anti-aging serum to fight wrinkles.  It contains Retinol and is paraben free.

Nuxe Gentle Exfoliating Gel with Rose Petals  ($26)  I love that this has walnut shells to exfoliate the skin and not something that won't biodegrade.  It is not overwhelming in its scent either so that is a plus.

De Bruyere Paris Red Lipgloss ($17.50)  This is very pretty - I will try to tone the red down since I never wear it.  I love that this is a Paris brand.

Lollipops Make Up Paris Nail Laquer in "Voyage A Paris" -   ($10)  This nail polish matches the lip gloss exactly in color - and wow - it is red.

Le Soft Perfume by Sabe Masson in Nemamiah -  ($25)  I really like this perfume!  It is not too strong and smells beautiful.  I have never gotten a soft perfume in a box before - I do want to order the Parisian Rhapsody.

This box had a great value and a huge variety of products - face wash, perfume, nail polish, lip gloss and a night cream.   The value was about $80 and I paid $21.

Of course, the reason I purchased this box was for the box itself!  This is the other artwork that is on the box.

Glossybox also gave us a discount on their winter special box - excited about getting this one!  Are you going to get the holiday box?

Purchased.  All opinions are my own and no compensation was received.
