Tuesday is Monday's Ugly Sister

Fun Birthday weekend!  I got several items on my wishlist - a laminate machine and several Sephora gift cards to shop for the makeup I wanted.   I also had Cinderella DVD and a Sherlock Funko POP on my list and I received both of those items.  I need to update this for Christmas - the Marion Smith Designs planner is still on the list!

I had a lot of fun laminating the goodies I have been saving for when I got one.  There were a lot of die cuts that I wanted to laminate so they stayed nice in my planners and were reusable.

I also made some A5 dividers for my Marion Smith planner I am waiting on - they are from a Princess Bride calendar.   Someone on Facebook posted how they had turned an old Audrey Hepburn calendar into dividers and I had to try it with my calendar!

 

My Viedori finally arrived after having shipping issues - Mr Sly is adorable and I had so much fun filling him with goodies.  These are $29 a piece but she often does sales - check out her Facebook page as well to follow her.

I got a great buy at TJ Maxx - found some large notebooks 3 for $4.99 and cut them down to fit in my travel notebooks.  I bought two packages of them so 2 can go in each of my travel notebooks.

Wednesday Love!

Ulta 21 Days of Beauty are finally at an end and I have my buys!  I was happy with what I picked.  Some were due to packaging - I love cute packaging!  And some are due to my faves.

 Japonesque Color Velvet Touch Blush was on sale on the Ulta site and I picked up my favorite shade.  These are usually $22 and they were 50% off. 

Too Faced has a very pretty Sweethearts Perfect blush and I picked up two during the 50% off sale.  Candy Glow and Something about Berry are the two shades I bought.

Laura Geller Baked Highlighter with Double Ended Face &  Eye Applicator was another product I have wanted to try so I bought it when I was shopping the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty sale.

It has been a really good month for makeup sales - I am on the lookout for a Benefit sale but they are the hardest to find.  Sephora has a sale coming up for VIB's so I might pick up a few favorites during it.  

Monday Musings!

So my March Madness bracket ended over the weekend when Wisconsin beat Kentucky.  I had no one else in the final four and did not pick Wisconsin to play in the final game.  It was fun to play though.  I stayed about middle until the final game.  Now, I will be rooting for the Wisconsin Badgers since they are Big 10 - although I almost went to Duke, so there is some loyalty there.  I do wish they made the Badgers a little cuter. 

Too Faced is one of the brands I really love!  I was shopping in my local JC Penney Sephora and picked out my favorite shade of the Melted long wear lipstick.  Chihuahua is the shade and it is beautiful.  If you try any of them, check this one out.  For the $21, it is worth the hype.  

April is here!  And it is so pretty!  I love Spring! My Paris calendar at work has the prettiest photos this month.  I wish I was sitting in that chair at a little outside coffee house in Paris looking up at the Eiffel Tower, like I did when I was 16 all those years ago. 

I am excited about all the boxes coming soon!  PopSugar is on its way to my door and I am super excited.  This box is such a tease!  There are rarely any spoilers - usually it is someone posting their whole box before you can see what is inside one.  There is a May box spoiler out there - A Kitsch necklace. 

I have a few beauty orders still on their way to my door from Ulta.  I am also excited about my Birchbox order and plus order.  Then end of them month will be Wantable makeup box and the Little Lace Box.  I also subscribed to SoSusan for $15.99 to see how those bags are.  It should be a fun month of boxes.

Friday Deals and Steals!

Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty is coming to an end tomorrow - I picked up about 3 of the deals. 


 I got the Urban Decay eye shadow potion and also picked up the makeup all-nighter spray.  I got the Redken and Argan Oil hair Shampoo and Conditioner as samples.

I also picked up the Laura Geller Highlighter and dual brush when it was on sale.

Too Faced Blush was also on sale during the beauty sale and I picked up two of them - Candy Glow and Something about Berry.  

Today the beauty sale is it Bye Bye redness cream and the Fat Girl Sixpack.  Tomorrow is Smashbox foundation primer and Stila lip gloss.  

Sephora in JC Penney was giving away sample Purity and Renewed Hope in a Jar to all its VIB card holders so I went in and found a bunch of necessities I needed.  I picked up the Beauty Blender solid cleanser, a Sephora CC creme that was on sale, and Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant mascara.  I received this mascara for my birthday last year and it has become one of my go to mascaras.

What I am NOT Lovin' Thursday!

I do reviews of my favorite products all the time.  I thought I would let you know of some products that have been misses for me.

Essentiel Elements Shower Gel -   I received this in my Birchbox one month and I did not like it at all.  The fragrance is so overwhelming and like medicine.  My dog would not come near this, it was so bad. 

Be A Bombshell Lash Out Mascara -   This caused quite the controversy when it came out in the Ipsy bags in June.  People hated the smell and claimed it caused eye irritations.  Several people had issues with the wands.  I have sensitive eyes so I just tossed this.  I will say that this is the first Be A Bombshell product I have disliked - overall, love this brand!

Skyn Iceland Cleansing Cloths -   These also came in my Ipsy bag and they are really bad!  They make my skin and eyes sting.  They turned my face bright red and irritated it.

Too Faced Lip Injection -   I really wanted to like this, truely!  But it is painful and sticky and I really hate it!  Again, I love the Too Faced brand.  This just was not for me.

Christmas Surprises!

Christmas Surprises! 

I had a lot of cosmetic goodies in my stocking and under the tree this year!  I had a very Merry Christmas this year and I hope you did too! 

Urban Decay Naked 3 -   I was so thrilled to unwrap this goodie Christmas day!  I have wanted this for a long time and it is finally mine!  I love the shades in this one and I like shimmery vs matte.  

Ole Henriksen African red tea foaming cleanser - this was in my stocking and I am excited to try this out.  I liked the last Ole Henriksen sample I got in my Birchbox a few months ago so really thrilled about this one.

 L'Occitane Almond Indulgence Duo -   The set comes with an Almond Shower oil and Supple Skin oil.  I have wanted to try this since I saw this for sale from Sephora.  This was another stocking stuffer and it is perfect for me.

Tocca Hand Creme and Fragrance Rollerball in Giulettia and Stella -   This is another goodie I heard about through Birchbox and was happy to find it under my tree this year!  

 Too Faced Shadow Eye Primers -  Love the Too Faced brand and have wanted to try these eye primers - another pleasant surprise in my stocking!  

Benefit set with that gal, Porefessional, and Girl Meets Pearl -  These are little mini ones and these are some of my favorites from Benefit.

Sephora Lip Service and The Beauty of Giving Back Palette - One of my best friends bought me these goodies for Christmas.  She also got me the cutest Kermit ornament.

This is so cute on the inside!

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Naked -  This is a really pretty shade but this is the tiniest lipstick ever.  I will have to pick up the full size in this one really soon! 

NARS Lip Gloss in Orgasm -  This is a very high end brand so I rarely have any of their makeup.  This is their most popular shade too.  So excited to have a NARS gloss in my box.

Make Up For Ever in 3C medium beige -  This is one of my favorite brands and I like getting lip pencils since I use them all the time.  Love this shade too!

Buxom Lip Cream In White Russian -   I love the Buxom glosses - I had to get myself Jennifer when I saw they had a line with girls names!  

Bite Beauty High Pigment in Chablis -   Bite has some really pretty lip glosses and pencils.  Love this one too! 

Smashbox Be Legendary Lip Gloss in Pout -   I like this brand too - I can put this over a lipstick too.  

The Beauty of Giving Back Palette -   This palette is so pretty and has lovely shades.  I like that this one gives back to charity.

This week I am looking forward to getting my Popsugar December box - my first ever Popsugar box!  They had a great coupon going around and I got the box for 50% off - $2o for the December box and it looks fantastic. 

 I am also watching out for my Ipsy December glam bag.  There were several items in it that I am excited about - love NYX and tarte products!  

I am waiting by the mail box for the Walmart box that is $5.  Falls box was really good - so waiting to see if they top it!

I am also watching out for the Christmas cards I ordered from Mpix; my favorite online photo site.  Great prices for great looking photos! 

Sephora sent me a $20 off any purchase of $50 or more and Santa Hubby went and picked out a few things for me!  Really hoping he went by my wish list:
