Style Quarterly Summer 2015

What's in
the box?

Style Quarterly is a box I have been wanting to subscribe to for awhile and then, when I finally do, the curator is closing the subscription!  I hate it when that happens.  I missed some very good boxes.  Sadly, I do not think this box was up to par with past boxes.

Black Scarf -  This was probably a bonus item in the box because she did not list it in our e-mail about the contents of the box.  My scarf was either cut into two or I got two scarfs with an unfinished side on both.  I will probably use this as a table runner.

French Green Clay Mask by Round About Botanicals -   ($10)  This also included a coupon to save money on their website. This Etsy shop has some really cute jewelry pieces as well.  Since I sell Perfectly Posh, I have a huge assortment of masks.  I love them!  I will give this one a try.

Faux Stone Necklace -    The spoiler e-mail did not include where this was from so I am not sure how to buy one if you loved it.  Check out Subscription Box Swaps and you might find someone willing to do a swap.  I do love this necklace - it is long and the stone matches my ring from Little Lace Box.  I got the blue/white choice out of the four that were sent out.

Love Potion No 18 Body Oil by Apothea Co. -  ($20)  This is probably my favorite item in the box - I love everything about it!  The scent, the feel of it, and of course, the bottle!  I am a packaging junkie - I love cute packaging. This smells like Vanilla Pomegranate.

Shower bombs in Almond Blossom and Hawaiian Dream by Salus -  ($2.45)  There are many varieties of this that I would like to try.  I love bath and body products - of course!

Recipe Dice by Leaf Cutter Designs -   ($16) How fun are these?  You roll the dice and make dinner with your results.  I cannot wait for my husband the cook to try this one night - we will probably have to go shopping to get the ingredients after but I will let you know how it goes!

There was some really nice items in this box but I did not find the value I was looking for in the Style Quarterly box.  This box was $50. This was the end of the subscription though and the curator is introducing a new line called Fete soon.  This will have different curated boxes to choose from to send yourself or friends a gift box.  I look forward to seeing the style of these boxes.

PopSugar Must Have Box May 2015

What's in
the box?

PopSugar Must Have box ships to your door for $39.99 a month.  This month's theme was Glowing Skin, Mother's Day, Beach Bum, C0lorful, and California Sun.

First Look:

Every box comes with an info card describing the contents.  May was so pretty with the oranges and yellows.

Surf, Sand, and Love towel by Sisters of Los Angeles - ($40)  This towel is a beautiful yellow and so soft.  It is large and perfect for the beach.  I would never spend this much on a beach towel so I was thrilled to get it.  It must have also been designed just for our box as you cannot find it on their website.

Kitsch necklace - ($32)  This was our spoiler a few month's ago and it is so pretty.  I love sterling silver.   It is so dainty and I love it.

Middle Kingdom Mini Plum Vase in Coral Red -  ($20)  This is more orange than red so I love it more than when I first saw it.  It is a sweet little bud vase.

Sage & Row Bare Shave Cream - ($17)  This is pretty expensive for a shave cream so it was nice to get free so I can try it first before spending that price.   I like that it is free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, mineral oils and alcohol.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Cherry - ($4)  This is probably the only item I was not happy with - not the actual product but the size of it.  It is very tiny and I have long, thick hair.  This will not last long.

Hammond's Candies McGraw's Flat Taffy - ($1) This taffy is delicious - and they had me at banana!  I was thrilled I got my favorite flavor.

I was very thrilled with this box.  I have already finished off the Taffy and was thrilled with all of the products because I will be using them all.  The value for this box was $114.

Monday Musings!

So my March Madness bracket ended over the weekend when Wisconsin beat Kentucky.  I had no one else in the final four and did not pick Wisconsin to play in the final game.  It was fun to play though.  I stayed about middle until the final game.  Now, I will be rooting for the Wisconsin Badgers since they are Big 10 - although I almost went to Duke, so there is some loyalty there.  I do wish they made the Badgers a little cuter.

Too Faced is one of the brands I really love!  I was shopping in my local JC Penney Sephora and picked out my favorite shade of the Melted long wear lipstick.  Chihuahua is the shade and it is beautiful.  If you try any of them, check this one out.  For the $21, it is worth the hype.

April is here!  And it is so pretty!  I love Spring! My Paris calendar at work has the prettiest photos this month.  I wish I was sitting in that chair at a little outside coffee house in Paris looking up at the Eiffel Tower, like I did when I was 16 all those years ago.

I am excited about all the boxes coming soon!  PopSugar is on its way to my door and I am super excited.  This box is such a tease!  There are rarely any spoilers - usually it is someone posting their whole box before you can see what is inside one.  There is a May box spoiler out there - A Kitsch necklace.

I have a few beauty orders still on their way to my door from Ulta.  I am also excited about my Birchbox order and plus order.  Then end of them month will be Wantable makeup box and the Little Lace Box.  I also subscribed to SoSusan for $15.99 to see how those bags are.  It should be a fun month of boxes.

Happy Mommy Box March 2015

What's in
the box?

Happy Mommy Box will send one to you or another deserving Mom that you know who deserves to encourage and uplifted.  This monthly care packages was $29 but they are doing some changes.  Instead of offering a Monthly box, there will be theme boxes.

This was a very fun site to see in my mailbox!

Happy Mommy Box was started by Natalie and Mandy.   This little magazine talks about the different contributors to the box this month and has information about some of the themed boxes coming out soon.

Each of the Mommy boxes come with an item for a little person.  These are little tattoos for your child from Three Little Numbers.  "I Wake Up Awesome" and "be Brave" are the two I received.

These are the cutest little journals from Print Stitch and Paste.  I want to throw these in my purse to write little notes and lists.  The little Etsy shop for this company is so cute.   There are lots of items I would love to order.

This is a jersey knit headband from Gertie & Baxter.  I love that I got this rust orange color.
I cannot wait to wear this in the Fall.

This print is so me - I love this song! When Annie comes on, I belt this song out! I will be framing this one to hang in my office/den.  This print is by One Word Designs.  Her prints are about $13.50.

This is a tassel necklace from Pink Lemonade Handmade.  This is the cutest little site and this necklace is $18.

This is a fun little bottle of nail polish - it is in the color sea foam and cute!  It is by Love Bri Products.  This bottle is $7.50 on their site.

My bonus item was a free canvas print from Easy Canvas Prints.  I cannot wait to order one of these from some nice family photos I had taken.  This has a value of $33.75.

I was very happy with my Happy Mommy Box.  The value was terrific - I got so much for my $29.   Check out their new choices in their gift shop.  I am also really interest in their coffee mugs.   The only thing I was disappointed in was the code for the discount on the mugs was expired when I got my box.

Tuesday is Monday's ugly sister!

While cruising through Instagram, I found a cute little subscription box called Happy Mommy.  It's mission is to inspire and encourage mothers.  Very cute box with some fun products - great job curating this one.   I will try to grab a March box for review - they go on sale tomorrow.

I am still waiting on my MAC Cinderella makeup items to come in.  So far the reviews of the powders have not been good so we will see when it gets here.  The lipstick still looks amazing.  There have been sold out on line since the day they premiered but they are coming to a MAC store near you - so get to that counter!

I also found the cutest mug while looking up info about the Happy Mommy box.  This Sweet as a Peach mug reminds me of my time living in Georgia.

And this is probably where my addition to peach stuff came from.  I love all things colored peach.  I need to look for some peach fuzzy socks!  And hair ties!  and... the list goes on.

I also found the cutest necklace that must be mine now - I love looking through Etsy - there are some really creative people in the world.

Happy Tuesday everyone! I am finally going to open my Little Lace Box - review to come!
