Tuesday is Monday's Ugly Sister!

The spoiler for April's Ipsy bag is that every subscriber will receive one or the other Fit or Flirty eye shadow.    The theme for the month is “If you’re not barefoot, then you’re overdressed. "  Beautifully Bohemian! 

The Birchbox spoilers are out and choice e-mails have already been sent.  There were 3 makeup choices: a Jane Iredale lip and cheek stain, Pop Beauty eye shadow palette , and a Jouer cheek tint.

Boxycharm has released its first spoiler for the April box.  Each charmer will  receive  either the OFRA's Derma Mineral Powder in "Pink Sapphire" or OFRA's Illuminating Blush Stripes.

PopSugar never does spoilers - you usually have to troll the internet near release date to find the person who takes a photo of their box first.  This has been one of my favorite boxes lately.  I am excited to see what April will include - it is was inspired by “Spring”, “Simplicity”, “Markets” and “Outdoors."

Little Lace Box's theme will be Nonna's Kitchen - all items will be for the kitchen and this is perfect because my husband loves to cook and April is his birthday month.  It will be a late surprise since this ships so late but he will love it.

Loot Crate theme will be Fantasy - it will include Princess Bride, Game of Thrones, and a Dungeons & Dragons items.  I will try to con the Princess Bride item away from my daughter and get the other items for my husband.  

That's what I have heard so far - excited for the April boxes to start arriving!

Monday Musings!

We went shopping for lamps over the weekend and I found this great desk lamp for my daughter at Lowes.  I need to go back and get her the matching floor lamp.

This great bracelet is now on my watch list.  My Instagram friend got this at TJ Maxx.

EEK - I have tickets for the New Kids - my sister and I are going to see our boys again!  We are in section 7 and I am so thrilled!  Really hoping they do an after party so we can see our guys up close.

 I am loving the new things they are doing with Birchbox each month!  The April boxes are beautiful and I want both New York and California boxes!  How will I choose?

I love the Bonus buy choices too - and I think I have decided on the tumbler and notebooks.  I am crazy about cute tumblers.

Little Lace Box March 2015

the box?

Little Lace Box is a lifestyle subscription box that has had some really great curated boxes.  I have really enjoyed the boxes I have received.  This subscription is $39.99 and arrives the last week in March.  While they are working out a few kinks, they are not taking on any new subscribers but check back in May.

Each box has a letter from the curators and a preview of the next month's box.  The Theme next month is Nonna's Kitchen. 

The other side of the letter describes the items in this month's box.   "Here Comes The Sun" is the theme for March. 

Kate Spade Water Bottle - ($29.99)  I was very pleased with the water bottle I received - the gold glitter one.  I would never pay this much for a water bottle so I am thrilled with this.  There were also pink and blue ones sent out but I love this one the best.  I was looking at glass ones in Barnes & Noble the other day so when I saw this in my box I knew it was perfect.

Cali Baronessa Olivia Hair Cleanser  (Shampoo) & Hair Masque (Conditioner) -  ($31.99)  There were two choices being sent out in this box.  This one is the olive oil one and the other was the Red Orange extract one.  I would have liked either.  I would never spend this much on shampoo and conditioner so I am excited to get this in my box. 

All Natural Urban Spa Sea Sponge -  ($12.50)  I really love this - this feels so much better than the loofah I use in the shower.  I am excited to try this out and I could see buying this again.  I am also happy to find this website - there are tons of items I would like on it.

12x12 Gallery Wrap Mounted Canvas Print -  ($51.99)  I am so excited about this! I have wanted to get some nice canvas prints but they are very expensive for the high quality ones.  This is also the second one I have gotten this month so I can pick my favorite family photos to make into a canvas print.


Another great month curated by the Little Lace Box sisters.  This box has a fantastic value!  I do not know how they can do it!  Are you on the list to get this box or are you still trying to get on the subscription list?  Keep trying!  It took me a few months too.

Loot Crate March 2015

the box?

Loot Crate keeps improving month after month.  Usually on the month's with t-shirts, the box is pretty light on other items.  This box was exceptional with the t-shirt included.  These boxes are about $20 with shipping and handling.  You can save $3 off your first box with SAVE3.  

These boxes have really cute themes and the inside of the box always corresponds with the theme.  This month's theme was Covert.

The boxes always come with a button from that month's theme.  This is very nice of the Loot Crate people - my kid loves to collect items. 

Covert magazine was in this month's box.  Every month there are these little magazines.  They detail what items are in the box. 

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D badge with lanyard -  This is a Loot Crate exclusive.   It is very nice quality.  

Field Notes -  ($10)   These are really nice little notebooks.  They are the perfect size and very durable.  There are a variety of items in their online shop.  

Paracord Survival Bracelet -   This is another exclusive item to the Loot Crate box this time.  "All our products are made in America from super strong, AUTHENTIC, 550# military spec paracord which gives them a secondary purpose. In an emergency situation, you can unravel the bracelet to deploy the paracord to help get you out of a jam. If you do use it in an emergency situation, send us your story, and we will send you a new one, free of charge."  This is from the survival website where you can buy these.  This is fantastic! 

Spy Mad Libs -   ($3.99)  I loved Mad Libs as a kid and I know my daughter will enjoy doing these too.  

Field Agent Blink Time Stealth Wrist Watch -   Another cool spy item - my daughter loves this.  This is also an exclusive for Loot Crate. 

Orphan Black Comic Book -   This another exclusive.  I do not know the Orphan Black show but it seems to be pretty popular.  

James Bond This Is Stirred t-shirt -   I think this is one of the few white t-shirts that Loot Crate has sent - or the only one.  Usually their t-shirts are black, which suites my daughter just fine. 

 There is not a way to get a value of this month's box since it came with so many exclusives It was well worth the $20 I paid.  This box continues to surprise and is my daughter's favorite.  This month was one of the best boxes I have seen from them. 

PopSugar Must Have Box March 2015

the box?

In the realm of subscription boxes, PopSugar Must Have is at the top of the list.  This box has a great value and variety.  It is $39.99 a month.  Check out the link and join!  April is already sold out so you will have to wait for May.

The inside of box says this every month!  AWW - they like to surprise us and show us some love.

The March themes were Fresh, Renewal, Citrus, and Traveling.  This box does not do spoilers but you can usually find the whole box  online right before it comes in the mail for spoilers.

Bliss MicroMagic Microdermabrasion Treatment -  ($48)  This is a twice a week facial treatment to help renew skin from dullness and imperfections.  This is a very small tube for the money but you probably only need a quarter amount.  This is the skin/makeup item that is in every box.

Samudra Pink Pineapple Zip Pouch -  ($40) I like the other pouches on this site but this is not my favorite - I think it is the plastic.  I actually like the pineapples and hot pink color.  This is a PopSugar exclusive.

 Greenmarket Purveying Co. Lemon + Cucumber Archivist Reed Diffuser set - ($20)  I like these diffusers and this is a nice scent for one.  This is a great size too.  This is the home item that is always in the monthly box.

Knock Knock What to Pack - ($7 ) How fun is this little pad?  It says you should always bring half of what you think you will need.  The Knock Knock website has a lot of fun post it notes and pads.   I love paper goods. 

 The Wet Brush The Squirt (yellow) - ($4.99)  This will end up with my teenage daughter I am sure.  She likes brushes like this for her long hair.  

Half Pops Half Popped Popcorn (Butter & Pure Ocean Sea Salt) -  ($1.69) There is also usually a snack in the PopSugar Must Have - and usually my husband gobbles it right up - I do not think he has seen this bag yet.

Benefit Roller Lash and The Porefessional - ($20)  Benefit is one of my favorite brands so I was thrilled to see these little bonuses.  Roller Lash is a great little mascara.  When I use it, I do not have to use an eyelash curler.  I also love the Porefessional - it is one of my favorite pore coverage makeups. 

This had a great value - almost $140. There was a great variety of items and I will use everything in the box.  Join here and you can help me earn a free box.

Saturday Steals and Deals....

and a box!

My Walmart box came in the mail and it had several sample items as well as some larger travel size.  This box is only $5 to pay for the shipping so it is a nice box to get to try out products before you buy them.

I ordered the other day from Ulta when they were having an Urban Decay eye shadows for 50% off.  I have a palette that you fill from Urban Decay and I needed two more shadows to fill it.  I ordered two of the eye shadows: Midnight Cowgirl and Snatch.  Anatomicals had a sale too on their hand washes so I picked up two of them.  The tarte and smashbox were samples.  

 Ulta is doing a 21 days of Beauty sale right now.   I have a few days I am anxiously awaiting. 

 I wonder what other sales are going on right now?

Boxycharm is a monthly subscription box for $21 a month.  The box includes 5 products with one of them being a high end beauty product and one being a travel size.

The theme for March was Lucky Charm.  #boxyluck

Previse Nutrify Skin Type 1-6 Universal Tonic - ($48)  I like that this has no parabens, silicones, and skin clogging petroleum ingredients.  I am always looking for more natural ingredients.  I will not be buying more of this - but excited to try it.  I like my serums from Posh that are so much better priced.

LVX Nail Laquer in Mynt-  ($16)  This is the second green nail polish bottle I have gotten this month.  Not sure when else I will wear this besides St. Patrick's Day but it is fun! 
The other shades were Lemondrop (yellow) and Deco (peach).  

Oscar Blandi Drt Styling Heat Protect Spray -   ($11) This is the travel size item this month.  I will be passing this on to my daughter who straightens her hair.  It is alcohol and paraben free too which is a plus!  This was one of the items this month where there were a variety of items passed out.  Some people received dry shampoos. 

Ofra eyeliner in black - ($13) This is a popular brand with subscription boxes and probably the item I like least in this month's box.  I do not wear eyeliner because I am terrible at applying them.

Tarte LipSurgence lip tint in Charmed -   ($24)  I love tarte products and am thrilled to get a lip product.  This is a very bright pink but I think it goes well with my skin tone.  I love their lip glosses so much.

The value on this box came to $112.  That is so high for a $21 a month subscription box.  I like a majority of the products.  I also got a discount code for tarte which I will enjoy using.
