What's in 

the box?

Lip Factory was a monthly subscription box that sent mostly lip products but now they have closed up shop.  I am very sad about that as this was one of the better lip boxes.  

I am happy I got the last combo box since all it had in it was lip products. 

First Look:

Belle Pierre Cosmetics in Cat Walk -  ($19.99)  The photo does not do this color justice; it is very pretty and I will wear it.  I got another shade of this in the recent Glossybox but I like this color so much more. 

Teeez Golden Glow Lip gloss in Desert Lily -  (about $21)  This is one of my fave edgy brands - I love the packaging.  This is a soft color lip gloss that is perfect for me.  You will have a hard time finding this in the States too so love that! 

Mirabella Sweet Velvet Lip Pencil -   ($23)  I love this brand too - Wantables uses them a lot.  I like the shade of this pencil too and is not as bright on as it looks.  

Super Cute in Happiness -   ($7.99)  OOH there are a lot of cute shades in these Paraben free lip glosses!  I am excited to try them all! I like that this was in my box this month! 

J Cat Beauty Twist and Kiss Lip Balm in French Kiss - ($4.99)  These are so reasonable I might have to pick up more shades of this too.  Super cute crayon type balms.

I came up with a value of about $83 for this Lip Factory box.  This was really one of the better boxes to get if you liked lip products as much as I do - it will be missed.  I think they are also the same people who do the CandiGirl box so go check those out.

Christmas Surprises!

Christmas Surprises! 

I had a lot of cosmetic goodies in my stocking and under the tree this year!  I had a very Merry Christmas this year and I hope you did too! 

Urban Decay Naked 3 -   I was so thrilled to unwrap this goodie Christmas day!  I have wanted this for a long time and it is finally mine!  I love the shades in this one and I like shimmery vs matte.  

Ole Henriksen African red tea foaming cleanser - this was in my stocking and I am excited to try this out.  I liked the last Ole Henriksen sample I got in my Birchbox a few months ago so really thrilled about this one.

 L'Occitane Almond Indulgence Duo -   The set comes with an Almond Shower oil and Supple Skin oil.  I have wanted to try this since I saw this for sale from Sephora.  This was another stocking stuffer and it is perfect for me.

Tocca Hand Creme and Fragrance Rollerball in Giulettia and Stella -   This is another goodie I heard about through Birchbox and was happy to find it under my tree this year!  

 Too Faced Shadow Eye Primers -  Love the Too Faced brand and have wanted to try these eye primers - another pleasant surprise in my stocking!  

Benefit set with that gal, Porefessional, and Girl Meets Pearl -  These are little mini ones and these are some of my favorites from Benefit.

Sephora Lip Service and The Beauty of Giving Back Palette - One of my best friends bought me these goodies for Christmas.  She also got me the cutest Kermit ornament.

This is so cute on the inside!

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Naked -  This is a really pretty shade but this is the tiniest lipstick ever.  I will have to pick up the full size in this one really soon! 

NARS Lip Gloss in Orgasm -  This is a very high end brand so I rarely have any of their makeup.  This is their most popular shade too.  So excited to have a NARS gloss in my box.

Make Up For Ever in 3C medium beige -  This is one of my favorite brands and I like getting lip pencils since I use them all the time.  Love this shade too!

Buxom Lip Cream In White Russian -   I love the Buxom glosses - I had to get myself Jennifer when I saw they had a line with girls names!  

Bite Beauty High Pigment in Chablis -   Bite has some really pretty lip glosses and pencils.  Love this one too! 

Smashbox Be Legendary Lip Gloss in Pout -   I like this brand too - I can put this over a lipstick too.  

The Beauty of Giving Back Palette -   This palette is so pretty and has lovely shades.  I like that this one gives back to charity.

Glossy Box December 2014

What's in 

the box?

Glossybox for December finally arrived right before the holidays.  This subscription ships for $21 a month and includes shipping.  This box is the prettiest one I have seen from Glossybox. 

I loved that the tissue paper matched the box and was tied up with a red bow.

First Look:

Toni & Guy Leave In Conditioner -  ($9.19)  I love leave in conditioners - I use them every time I shower so this is perfect for me.  It is a nice size tube too, so it will last for a few uses.  I will be buying this again. 

Rituals Miracle Scrub Ultra Softening Hand Scrub -   ($17)  This is very nice hand scrub and smells very pretty.  It does make your hands feel softer too.  I was happy to see this in my box because I would probably never buy this myself.

BellaPierre Cosmetics Mineral Lipstick in Burlesque -  ($19.99)  I do not know if this is the shade I would have picked out, but it is very pretty.  My favorite cosmetic items are lipsticks and lip glosses, so anytime I have one in a box, I am thrilled.  

Nuxe Masque Creme Fraiche de Beaute - ($32) This is a face mask to moisturize and is hypoallergenic.  I am very excited to try this one.  I would not buy this because of the price so it was fun to get it in the box this month.

Ciate Mini Paint Pot in turquoise - (full size $10, my size $8)  I love the color blue.  And I really like the Ciate nail polishes.  Perfect pick for me and loved getting it in a holiday box.

This box had a great value this month, in total it would have been $93.99 had I purchased it separately.  I have put this box on hold, but I will have to watch the spoilers because the box has gotten better since the last time I subscribed.  I do wish it had more makeup than skin and hair care products. 

Ipsy December 2014

What's in 

the box?

Ipsy is a monthy glam bag that ships for $10 a month, shipping included.  It is 4-5 sample or full size makeup, hair, and skin products.  Lately, it has been less makeup and more of the other samples which has made a few subscribers decide to cancel.  

You are a Talented Being is the theme this month.

I really like the cute little black bag with pink Ipsy heart this month!  It fits a lot of makeup too and is a nice size. 

NYX Butter Lip Balm in Parfait -   ($4)  NYX is one of my favorite makeup brands so I was thrilled with the lip balm.  It has a nice tint of color too.  I might need to get all the flavors of this lip balm. 

Nourish Organic Renewing Eye Cream -   (full size $22.99)  I like eye creams and have not received any in an Ipsy bag so this was a nice change.  I use an eye cream every night so this will get used up fast.   It is a little sample but I should be able to tell if works so I can buy it in the full size.

Cailyn Just Mineral Eye Polish in Orchid - ($15)  This is a very pretty shade for your eyes and has an applicator to apply.  It is a very fun idea and I really like it.  This shade is a color I would wear too.  

tarte Lights, Cameras, Lashes 4-1 Mascara - ( full size $20)  I love tarte cosmetics so this was nice to get in my bag this month.  I have like 9 sample mascaras right now but I will probably use this one next since it is from one of my favorite brands.  

 Bumble and Bubble Bb Repair -  (sample - $4.50 - full size $30)  I really like this hair care brand.   I do not often blow dry my hair though so I will probably let my daughter who flat irons every day use this on her hair.   The worst part of this though was that it was so glued to the back of this card, that I still have the glue stuff all over the tube.

I really like my bag this month, it had 3 out of 5 makeup products this month, which I consider to be a good month!  If you would like to sign up, use my link here.

POPSugar Must Have December Box 2014

 the Box?

I do not think I have looked forward to a box this much the whole time I have been a subscription box subscriber!  WOW this was an awesome one.  To start off, POPSugar gave a discount code for it that made it 50% off so I spent $20 on it.  It really was the one to get this year! 

First Look: 

How pretty is the little card that came with it??  I love this photo!  The card also describes the item and tells you where to find it and at what price.  

 Williams - Sonoma Cupcake Mix in Vanilla Bean -   ($14.95)  Cookie making is in my future with this cute little tin!  My daughter loves to bake so this is a nice little stocking stuffer for her.  You just add the eggs, milk, and butter and there you go!  It would have been nice to have cupcake liners included but it is still a nice little surprise. 

Spun by Subtle Luxury Speckled Metallic Scarf -   ($62)  This is so pretty!  I have not taken it out of the package because I am still debating on giving this as a gift this year!  It is so pretty though I might save it for me and I have the perfect outfit to wear it with! Still deciding! 

Sparklepop Sydney Necklace - ($42) I love this necklace!  I love the longer necklaces and this is so nice, it will go in my stocking!  

Knot & Bow Parcel Tags - ($4)  This is right up my alley!  I just bought some tags like this at Target the other day, but they were the round ones.  I will use all of these.

Canvas Daubille Platinum Bowl - ($29)  When I saw the photos of this online, I thought it was bigger.  But it is so gorgeous, I will put it beside my bed for my rings and things.  Beautiful!  And it was probably my favorite thing in this box!

Smashbox Be Legendary Long-Wear Lip Lacquer -   ($24)  I missed this in the box when I took the photo of all the items.  It is so pretty a shade too!  I like the Smashbox brand so this is a big hit with me.  Lip glosses are my favorite makeup too! 

What a great box for a great value! I was thrilled to find this deal this year!  I am also considering keeping the POPSugar subscription because I have seen past boxes and there is always a variety of nice stuff that I would like or could give as nice gifts.  If you want to join, go here.
