Wantable: Makeup Edition July 2015

What's in

the box?

Wantable has three regular subscriptions and a fashion workout edit box.  The three that you can choose from each month or have sent to you every month are Makeup, Accessories, and Intimate.  I usually pick either an Accessories or Makeup one; my favorite boxes are the Makeup edition. 

    Wantable is different though - you can skip boxes each month or just have one or two of the selections sent to you.  Now you can also return items you do not like for a partial refund of your box monthly fee, which is $40.  If you keep the whole box, you earn a $4 off coupon on your next Wantable box.

 Each of your boxes will come with a break down of the items - it has retail price and what your refund price would be on it.

Wantable is also nice because you make a Love, Like, and Dislike of products - you will never get anything from your dislike section and always something from your Love section.  I currently have brows, eyeliner, lash products, highlighter, bronzer, and nail products in my Dislike section but I could change it up for next month if I chose.  I have warm, eye shadow and lip color in my Love section.  But I do not think I have every been given a full eye shadow palette - it is usually just one color.  In my Like section, I have complexion products, cool, blush and tools. 
 

Model Co BB Cream -  ($22) You also put in all your info like skin tone, hair and eye color, and complexion needs so they can always match the makeup to you.  I love getting BB cream because I wear it every day and prefer it to heavy foundations.  This is a win for me.

Doucce Lush Lip Gloss Crimson Light  -  ($22) This is a beautiful tube of lip gloss and between it and my BB cream, I have the value of my box.  I love lip glosses - and this seems so elegant and classy. 

Seta Foundation Brush -   ($20)  I could not find this exact brush online, but their other prices have been right on the money.  I will probably use this for highlighter actually since I prefer the Beauty Blender for my BB creams.

OFRA Lipstick 09 -  ($13.15)  This brand has been very popular in my boxes the last few months.  I have received some lip and eye liner from Little Lace Box as well.  I love this shade and it is one I would have picked out for myself.

Another great hit of a box for me!  My stylist did a great job picking out my items and I love the variety - some people would not like getting a lipstick and a lip gloss, but I often pair them.  The value of my box is $75+ and I paid $36 since I got a box a few months ago.  Wantable never slacks off and the boxes are usually just what I wanted.

Target Head of the Class Beauty Box

Target does some amazing beauty boxes for $5.  They sell out they day they come out though so you have to be on social media when someone announces they are there.  I mean these are gone lightening fast, Ladies.  I rarely even mention I saw them because I am too busy trying to get in there and get them before they are gone.  Keep checking here for beauty boxes.

There were two boxes released - this is the Head of the Class box.  These are nice sturdy boxes - you could decorate them and give them as gifts.

There was a nice little card and a coupon in the box.   You can save $3 when you spend $15 on beauty products. 

Wet n Wild Max Volume Mascara -  ($4.99) Seriously, the last time I bought mascara was just to purchase my favorite brand - I really did not need to - I have several tubes.  These are like eyeliner and go in spurts, where every box sends you one.

Herbal Essences wild naturals dry oil spray -  ($5.99)  I am interested to see if this can be a dupe for some of the other hair oils I use.   I find the ones I like in Birchbox but they are usually pretty pricey so I have to save up my points to earn a bottle.  It smells really good which I always look for in my sprays.

The Bathery 2 -in-1 Pumice Stone -  ($1.99) Who does not like getting spa items in their boxes?  Ok - we can trade stuff cause I love them!  This will be great on my footsie in the shower!  I love to keep them sandal ready.

 YES to Cucumber Soothing Facial Towelettes -   ($2.99)  This is a product I already purchase once in awhile so it was nice to get them in the box.  Love this brand for the wipes.

Goody ouchless elastic hair bands -   (3 cents) This is another item that is bought frequently at my house since as you know, these disappear like lightening and you have to buy more - just like bobby pins.

Hollywood Fashion Secrets Fashion Tape -  (Full size $8.89)  I have never owned this before but I should have been picking it up for those shirts that gap on me.  Definitely trying this out next time I wear one.

Covergirl Queen Coloricious Lip Gloss in Give Me Guava -  ($5.99)  Of course, there has to be a lip product in the box - we are women!  We love our lippies! 

This box has a great value and a great assortment of products.  This box was $5 and had well over $20 worth of product in it.  It is one of the better ones they have sent out and I will used everything in this one.  A+ to Target for Head of the Class!

Serendipity by Little Lace Box

I was thrilled to receive my little gift from Little Lace Box for May - the Serendipity gift bag.    They will be sending them free to all Little Lace Box subscribers until they work out all the kinks in this subscription bag.  Normally it would ship for $9.99 a month on the off months of LLB.  The bag will be an assortment of items that do not fit the themes of their Lace boxes.

OFRA Eyebrow Pencil - ($13) At first, I thought this was an eyeliner and was not thrilled - eyeliner must be the most added product to a sub box!  I have more than I will ever be able to go through in my lifetime.  But it is actually an eyebrow pencil, which I currently do not own so this is a plus.  It may be too dark for my eyebrows but I will give it a whirl. This is also made in the USA, cruelty free and all natural which is a big plus for me.

OFRA Lip Liner in Plum - ($13)  I like getting lip liner in my bags and boxes since I use them all the time and they are not put in them very often.  This is a darker shade them I am use to but it looks like it will go nicely with the gloss that is also in the bag. 

OFRA Lip Gloss in Bordeaux - ($13) This is a very pretty gloss.   There are several shades on their website to choose from too.   This does not contain parabens either. 

Bella Ink - ($3.95)  Every bag came with a cute little card from this designer.  I love the cupcake one I was sent - there are other items on Little Lace Box's site for sale. 

Brode Electrolyte Vitamin -  ($4) I cannot believe I have never heard of these!  They are perfect for my athlete son.  He runs and wrestles, so he is a year-round athlete with little breaks.  I am going to be buying him a box of these for his meets.

And if that was not enough - a coupon for 2 for 1 bottle of wine with $1 shipping!~  Cairdean Estate is a winery in Napa Valley, California and with this great deal, I can get 2 bottles of a white wine for $39 shipped to me.

This really was a hodge podge of items and what a steal!   Just the makeup alone was $40 and the bag sells for $9.99 normally - I got it free as a gift for being a Little Lace Box subscriber. 

Little Lace Box is one of my favorite monthly boxes and I am super excited about June's upcoming box that has the theme:
Classy and Fabulous!  "Our June box will shower you with inspiration and accessories to glam up your summer style and take you from day to dinner."   This box is currently sold out so I hope you took my advice in April and signed up. 

Thursday Thoughts

I am new to collecting makeup - the only other MAC collection I have is the Cinderella collection.  MAC came out with a limited collection called Wash & Dry - I picked out a blush and a lipstick.

The lipstick I picked out was Tumble Dry.  This is the prettiest lipstick I have ever bought!  I am not too thrilled with the pigment of it, however.  It is more of a lip balm consistency.

The blush I picked out was Hipness, in a light peach.  There is not actually much blush in the container but I bought it for my makeup collection, not for everyday use, so it is fine. 

Jelly Pong Pong will be selling these adorable little lip balms called Lip Orchids - and they will come in Pink Petal and Bouquet. 

Red Nose Day was today and my sweet son was nice enough to wear it for me to post today.

He is a real sport and I am so proud of the man he is becoming.

Tuesday is Monday's Ugly Sister

Tuesday is here again and I have a few sets I have not reviewed around the house - the Josie Maran Pure & Free and the Smasbox Smoke Box.

Josie Maran Pure & Free - ($36)  I picked up this set at Sephora while I was browsing.  It is a five piece set of some of Josie Maran's favorites. 

 

Bear Naked Wipes -  (full size $12)  These are wipes to remove your makeup and free of loads of chemicals that are bad for you.  A portion of the sales go to the Polar Bears - a perfect reason to stock up on these. 

Argan Infinity Cream Intensive Creamy Oil -  (full size $28)  You can use this to hydrate the skin, condition the lips, and illuminate the complexion.  

Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter in Be Spirited Sweet Citrus  -   (full size $35) This smells heavenly!  So soft and a lovely citrus!  I am so happy with this.

100 Percent Pure Argan Oil Light -  (full size $48)  This is a smaller sample of Argan oil that is great for your skin.  I like this light version too.  

 Argan Black Oil Mascara -    (full size $22)  I love trying new mascara's so I was excited this included an Argan oil mascara.  I love packaging as well.   The brush is very different but actually seems to be more ergonomically correct for applying mascara.

I am very happy I picked this at Sephora instead of another palette to sit on the shelf in my collection.  

Smashbox Smoke Box - ($10) This was a deal on Hautelook last week and I could not resist it.  It came as a set with this silver case.  

O-Gloss Gold -  (Full size $22)  I love that this included a lip product.  Lip products are my favorites next to eye shadow palettes. 

Smashbox Waterproof Shadow Liner -  I thought this was an eye liner but it is actually eye shadow with a nice smudge brush on one end.  I will definitely be trying this out. 

Smoke Box eye shadow palette - ( full size $40) This is currently sold out in lots of stores but it is just the sample version.  I do like that though because I never use up a palette before I get bored with it.  

The Smashbox Smoke Box was another great deal that I am thrilled to have found out about.   These go on sale every little bit at Hautelook so keep your eye out for them.

Target Beauty Box

Target has a seasonal beauty box that ships four times a year.  This box is $5 and sells out fast - it is not a subscription you can sign up to keep getting; it's first come, first serve.  

Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel-cream - ($17.99)  This is a tiny little gel cream.  It is to moisturize your neck and face.  It will not last very long to test out but I will use it.  I will probably not be buying this in full size but it is a good throw in your purse in case of emergencies moisturizer. 

Maybelline Color Elixir by Color Sensational Lip C0lor -  ($5.49)  This is one of my favorite drug store brands and I love that there is a lip product in the box.  

Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Renewal System Shampoo - ($2.50~)
My only complaint is not having a conditioner to go with this.  I cannot wait to try it.  

TREsemme TRES Two Extra Hold Hairspray -  ($1.47)  This is probably the item in the box I am least excited about.  I rarely use hairspray so this will last forever.  

L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Spray & Set -  ($13.29)  I use a setting spray daily so I love getting this in my beauty box.  I did not know L'Oreal made one either, so this will be nice to sample.

This is a great box and well worth the $5 plus tax that was charged for it.  I am so happy I grabbed this one in time before it sold out.  The box also included a $3 off your next $15 beauty purchase at Target.
