WHAT'S IN

THE BOX?

So Susan Lip Love is a monthly makeup subscription bag that is about $21 and ships from England.  I think it is one of the funner makeup sub bags out there as the makeup is so cutely packaged and the makeup bags included are adorable. I also like this makeup line because they are cruelty free, paraben free, and more natural than other makeup lines.

There is a card in each month's bag with the quote on one side and the contents of the bag on the other.   I love the quote this month.

Every month, the sub includes a cloth makeup bag.  They are themed for the month and have the quote on them as well.  I loved the colors in this month's bag and the snowflakes.

Trifle Cosmetics Lip Parfait (Raccoon) - ($18.95) This is a sister company to So Susan. What a cute package!  The color is a bright pink.  I do not know many people who live in England, but they must like bright shades of lipstick.  Every tube of lipstick I have received is a shade I would never wear.  BRIGHT!

So Susan Dual Brow Powder - ($17.95) I passed this on to a friend as I really do not use anything on my eyebrows.  It is a nice quality brow liner. 
 

Jelly Pong Pong Lychee Gel - ($15.95) This is shower gel - it is not a very big tube. I do not think I would ever pay that much for it.

So Susan Luminous High-Coverage Foundation -  ($24.95)  This shade is maybe a tad to dark for my skin tone but I will try it out. It does contain sunblock, which I love in a foundation.

This was not my favorite month for Lip Love, but it was not a total dud.  I do miss getting an accessory in every bag and the price went up - with less in the bag - so that is not something a consumer likes to see. I ended up cancelling this sub, due to a problem with changing the billing information.  I was grandfathered in at the old sub price but since I had to change billing information, they would not let me keep that old price.  I might pick this back up in a few months, but for now I have a overabundance of So Susan cosmetics.

Lip Love Subscription bag is one I found while searching for fun, new subscriptions that were more reasonably priced.  This bag is from England and is $16 a month.  It contains 3 products, 2 bonus items, and a makeup bag designed exclusively for the subscription. 

Every bag has a quote on it and it is usually inspiring.  

The bags are always so colorful and pretty!  They are probably my favorite part of this subscription.

Jelly Pong Pong Paradise Pigments in Fig Jam -   ($19.99) These are the cutest packaged lip and cheek tubs.  I love their line of products because of the wonderful packaging and the fact that they are cruelty free.

So Susan Statement Skin in Candlelight - ($20) I was very excited to see this was included in our bag this month - I had seen this on some of the Instagram feeds - for Ipsy.  I really wanted to try this out. 

Haute Light in Eggshell - ($19.95) Another goodie that I was happy to receive in my bag. 

Strengthening Cuticle Oils -  ($25.95) This was our bonus accessory item of the month - I am happy to see them change it up from the usual piece of jewelry.  These are little cuticle oils and each one has a purpose.

   
Jelly Pong Pong Goju Blush is also one of the bonus items this month.  It sells for $17.95.  The bag was a winner this month - I will use every item in it and I love the packaging.  If you are thinking of a new sub to join, give this one a try - this bag had a value of $103.80 and that does not include the shipping charges you are saving.

So Susan is a fun cosmetics company over England that has its own subscription monthly bag.  It is called Lip Love - but you get more than lip products in it.  It is $15.90 a month and they ship overseas to the States for free.  I am crazy about their makeup - it is cruelty free and parabens free.  

One of my favorite things about the Lip Love bag is the bag itself - it is always beautiful with a lovely quote on it.  These bags are little works of art.

The inside card has the same artwork and quote on one side and the breakdown of the bags on the other.  This month's theme was I LOVE LIFE!

 There are always three main items and then two bonus items; with one of the bonuses being an accessory.


 Shadow/Liner by Jelly Pong Pong -  ($16)  I love this brand and I love it when an item can be more than one type of makeup - I do not usually wear eye liner so I love that you can use this as a shadow as well.  If you have not gone out and surfed this makeup site - I encourage you to do so. 

Liquid Powder Shadow Palette in Radiant Glow by So Susan -   ($14.95) There are four versions of this palette and I got the perfect one for me!  I love all of these shades and will use them all.  This is just the perfect size too!  I am crazy about this product!

Lip Dome in Mango by So Susan -  ($12)  I will probably have the whole set of these in a few months - I received Black Currant in my last month's bag. 

Glow Getter by Jelly Pong Pong -   ($12.95)  I have gotten this product in a past bag but it is so beautiful.   this is a luminizer and it is quite shiny.  

Bonus item: Stay Connected Ring - ($10) The accessory item is usually where I can take or leave something, as is the case here.  I am not sure how you wear this but I will probably be putting it in my swap board on Pinterest.  It just is not me.

This was another great month for Lip Love by So Susan.  I love the makeup products and the bag so much - and I cancelled Ipsy which is about the same price.  There were $65.90 products in total and I paid $15.95.  Beautiful products that are cruelty free.

One of the international sub boxes I subscribe to is from the makeup company So Susan from England - they have a bag that is called Lip Love that is $15.99 a month and has such fun goodies in it!  This month is the I love Tea Time Bag.

Like Ipsy, every month has a bag in it.  And these always have a nice quote - this month's:

There is always a card listing all of the goodies in the bag and their value.  They are always dead on on the prices - they do not inflate them to make you think you are getting a real deal.

I love the fun quotes and artwork they add to every bag.

Paradaise Pigments in Cake Pop by Jelly Pong Pong -   ($20)  This is the cutest lip stain dish - love the ice cream sundaes on it.  It is a bright coral color and you can use it on cheeks and lips. This also comes in Fig Jam, which is the hot pink version.

 So Susan Lip Dome in Black Current -  ($12)  I love the shade of this - it is a very nice burgundy.   It is also a lip plumping hybrid lip stain and lip balm. I might have to get a few more of the colors.  I also like the melon one.

Bare Necessities by Jelly Pong Pong - ($18) This does so much for one little pencil!  It is a highlighter, eye shadow base, waterliner, and concealer in one.  I have been looking for a good waterliner and I think I found it!  This is so soft too - did not hurt my eyes to apply it.

S Susan Cashmere Blush -   ($16) This is listed as a bonus item and am I glad they threw it in the bag!  I love blush!  This one is so pretty! Of course, I love the packaging!

Infinity Earrings -   ($10)  This is another bonus item - every bag contains an extra accessory item like this.  I love these - they are such a pretty pink color.

This is my favorite bag so far from So Susan - and the past bags have been very good!  I can use every item in this bag and I love them all.  The value of this bag was $76.  This is well worth the price to sub and it helps you find some really good products - these are all cruelty free and parabens free.

I am new to collecting makeup - the only other MAC collection I have is the Cinderella collection.  MAC came out with a limited collection called Wash & Dry - I picked out a blush and a lipstick.

The lipstick I picked out was Tumble Dry.  This is the prettiest lipstick I have ever bought!  I am not too thrilled with the pigment of it, however.  It is more of a lip balm consistency.

The blush I picked out was Hipness, in a light peach.  There is not actually much blush in the container but I bought it for my makeup collection, not for everyday use, so it is fine. 

Jelly Pong Pong will be selling these adorable little lip balms called Lip Orchids - and they will come in Pink Petal and Bouquet. 

Red Nose Day was today and my sweet son was nice enough to wear it for me to post today.

He is a real sport and I am so proud of the man he is becoming.

Birchbox March 2015!

What's in 

the box?

Birchbox is a monthly sample subscription box for $10 a month.  You get 5-7 samples in each box that you can review for points.  Earn 100 points and that is $10 in your Birchbox account to spend in their store.  

The theme this month is Creativity.  Birchbox is also encouraging you to save the box - they might have some ideas at the end of the year on how to recycle your box.

Roloxin Lift Revitalizing Facial Treatment -   ($22)  The description on the sample says this is comparable to Botox!  It is supposed to reduce pores, fade wrinkles and last for 24 hours.  

Elite Therapeutics Rosemary Eucalyptus Body Creme -   ($1.12 - full size $19)  I have never heard of this brand.  These rosemary eucalyptus smells do not agree with my asthma so I will be passing it on to a friend.  

Jelly Pong Pong Glow Getter Highlighter  -   (full size $12.75)  This gel formula is not as heavy as some highlighters but very shimmery.  I do not like that it contains parabens. 

It's a 10 Miracle Leave-in Conditioner - ($9) I have been wanting to try this one since I saw it for sale in my Ulta.  I love leave-in conditioners because I use them all the time.  

Liz Earle Cleansing Cloths -  (~$4 - full size $25.50)  This is another Birchbox goodie I have been wanting to try without putting out the full price for it.  

This Birchbox was another win for me.  There are several items in this box that I have been wanting to try.  My boxes have just been getting better and better.
