Ipsy June 2015

What's in
the box?

My glam bag from Ipsy arrived the other day - it is $10 a month and contains 5 makeup, skincare, and/or hair products.  I cancelled this bag but picked it back up after seeing the bag from last month - remember - once you see the bag of the month, you will get the next month's bag.

The theme this month is Swim into Beauty.

The bag this month is waterproof and a pretty slate black color - the zipper is orange.

NYC Liquid Eyeliner -  ($2.99 )  This is probably the item I like least in the bag.  I am not really fond of this brand.   I have had a lot of eyeliners in my box this month - so I will be passing this on to my sister who uses eyeliner every day.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer -  ($8 )  I do not think I have tried the photo finish one - I may have used too much the first time I tried the other type because it felt very slick.  I did a little research and Smashbox will send you a sample of this, just click here.  They will charge you a shipping fee so only add it if you are already buying from their online store.

tre'Stique Mini Eye Shadow Crayon in Kona Coffee - ($10)  This is a cute little crayon - I love how the lid looks like a crayon too.  I like this color a lot and this may be my favorite product in the bag.

J Cat Beauty Liptitude in Blow Your Mind -    ($5.99)   Now this is pink!  Blow Your Mind pink evidently! I do like the look of several of the other colors and for this price point, I can get a few of them.

BioRepublic Sheet Mask Trio in Green Tea Detox, Aloe Rescue, and Cucumber Breeze -  ($15)  This is a good mix of masks but since I am a Perfectly Posh consultant - I have several face masks I love already.  I will probably pass these on to my mother who loves getting these.

My bag was worth about $40 this month - the masks and primer were half of that.   I am just meh about the contents but I love the bag.  I did like the color of eye shadow crayon I received but not the lip stain.

Funday Sunday!

It is a snowy day here in Indiana - 10 inches so far and it is still snowing.  We have already had the coldest consistent February in over 100 years.  Winter really needs to be done.

Ulta has the Ammo Palette by Urban Decay back in stock  - $16 for this little set - great deal! I really like the eye shadow primer.  It is a nice little bonus to get a sample one with this palette.

I am waiting on my Little Lace Box for February still.  They had a lot of issues this month due to the dock strike on the West coast.  I understand that as Perfectly Posh had issues with two of their items in the Spring/Summer catalog because of this dock strike.  We had to wait on our brushes for the Zone Treatment kit and the Lash Pop - they are now in stock.

Speaking of Posh, it is a great time to join this fabulous company - our kits contain over $300 in merchandise and $80 in business tools.   This month's incentive is a Poshymallow scrub that you will love!

Happy Shopping!  Stay warm wherever you are!

Perfectly Posh New Spring Summer Catalog!

What's in
the catalog?

Perfectly Posh's new catalog is out now and I am in love with all the new products! I do sell this brand and this post does contain affiliate links.  Our products are natural and most are Vegan.  We do use three by-products from animals:  beeswax, milk, and honey.  We do not test on animals.  We are made in the USA.  Our products do not contain parabens, paraffins, sulfates, lanolin, or fillers.  I also love that all of our products are $25 and under.

Snarky is a scent that our creator developed - it is fresh smelling and wonderful.  You can get it in the hand creme, Snarky exfoliating bar, and Skindelicious lotion.

The Daily Grind body scrub is one of our biggest sellers.  It aids in the prevention of cellulite and cleans the skin.  It now comes in an exfoliating Daily Grind Coffee scrub snarky bar.

Hey Honey is a healing hand creme that smells of lemon and so delicious!  It is my favorite hand creme.  And now it comes in a healing body creme!  It is a nice sized tube too!

We Put De Lime in De Coconut is an invigorating body scrub that smells of lime and is used to exfoliate and scrub with an exotic island twist.  Viva Senorita is one of our new chunk bars and it too smells of lime and sea salt.

I think I am most excited to try our Zone Treatment Face Mask Kit.  This has 3 separate mask treatments to target your combination skin:  a Charcoal Pore cleaning mask, a Plankton & Menthol calming mask, and an Oil Reducing & Control mask.  It comes with a brush for application to just the area you need that mask on.  What a great idea!  We also have a new perfume roller with the It Girl scent.  I am in love with this scent - it is grapefruit and apricot and smells wonderful! And at this price - $14 - it is probably the cheapest perfume I have ever bought since I was a teen!  Lash Pop! Lash Growing Serum is a product to help lash growth in 2-4 weeks!  I know a lot of women who have lash issues and want fuller lashes!  Now you can get this serum to help with lash growth!

Apricot Overnight is a moisturizing mask you wear all night.  I'm Shrinking is a pore reducing mask to use on those trouble areas on your face.  And finally, Pore-fect is a face washing bar for pore cleansing.

We also have some new products for the feet.  Heebie Jeebie foot peel kit is a one time use foot mask that includes a peeling gel, protective pink booties, and polka dot socks.  Walk on the Beach sand scrub is for the getting those feet ready for the beach.

We have three new Skindelicious lotions - Snarky Butter, which I have already talked about.  Castaway Coconut is new and really smells like Coconut!  We consultants have been asking for this for awhile - our other products with coconut in the title have not smelled like coconut and were misleading.  Farmer's Market is a body lotion that smells of watermelon and cucumber.

Seas the Day chunk bar is another new chunk bar that smells of cherry margarita and has shea butter in it.  We added another item to the It's a Posh Life line - a Lemon Berry Lip Butter.  And finally, they brought back a huge best seller - A Peel To Me Snarky Bar!  This is an exfoliating body bar that smells of oranges!  I use it on my feet to keep them from getting cracked.

Those are the new products for our Spring and Summer catalog!  I am so crazy about all the Posh products and am so happy I joined Posh last summer.  It has been so fun trying the new products and showing my family and friends this amazing company.

Birchbox December 2014

WHAT'S IN
THE BOX?

Birchbox is a monthly subscription box that comes to your door for $10 includes shipping!  It is jammed packed with 5-7 sample sizes of products for you to test out and see what you think before committing to the full price.  Some of these products carry a very hefty price tag - the shampoo and conditioner set I fell in love with thru Birchbox is $80 for the set.  But you would not want to pay the price without testing it out to see if they were worth it to you!  I love that about this box!

How cute is their December box?

Also, they have the greatest point system that lets you review products and earn points to spend in their store!  I love their store!  Super cute products you won't find anywhere else.  And, they have the best customer service out there - seriously!  E-mail them if you have any issues with your box - they will make it right and then some!

Every box comes with a card describing each of the products and it also tells you what the full size costs in case you want to buy it in their store - do not forget to go in and review each product within the time allotted.  That is how you earn points to spend! This month's box also included a $10 gift to the Gap.

 The First Look:

Royal Apothic Cuppa Cuppa Firming Tea Treatment Mask - (full size $58)  I was so glad to see this in my box this month - I wanted to pick this a few months ago but chose the guest sponsored box.  Now I can try it out!  It is a super cute tube too!  I love cute packaging!

Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream - (full size $16)  I use moisturizers twice a day so I can always use one - this is a pretty small tube so not sure how many uses I will get out of it.
This is the best sample I have ever gotten, but I will use it.

Manna Kadar Lip Locked - (full size $24)  This is what I selected to be in my box this month - I am addicted to lip glosses - pretty much every product for the lips - balms, glosses, sticks,  and stains. This is tiny but super cute - it has a little jewel on the end of it.  I actually prefer tiny glosses since I change so frequently I never use a gloss all the way up.   I might buy this one in full size though cause I am in love with it!

Rusk Texture Spray - (full size $7-$18)  This is a hair spray that is medium hold and gives any hair volume and shape.  I like sprays that don't make your hair sticky and hard.  I like my hair to move not look like a helmet.

Sumita Color Contrast Eyeliner - (full size $11-$21) This is a very nice eyeliner in the color Jaipur Gold which kind of a puce green color.  I have so many eyeliners and this really is not my color, so I will be passing this along.

I was really happy with my Birchbox this month - a face mask, a moisturizer, a lip gloss, an eyeliner and a hair spray!  No packets - no shampoo - so it was a winning month!

Glossybox October 2014

WHAT'S IN
THE BOX?

Glossybox is a monthly makeup, skin, and hair product box that ships for $21.  I signed up late October with a code to get a free Alex and Ani bracelet.  So I just got the October box and will get the November box soon!

I love the Glossybox box - it is sturdy and perfect for re-gifting!

First Look:

I love when Glossybox pairs up with Alex and Ani for a free bracelet gift.  This one is for Energy - embrace the power of positivity.  It is very pretty.  This will not be in every box unless you used the code when you signed up last month.  The value on this bracelet is $38 so this more than paid for the box this month.

Vince Camuto Amore -  ($5.74)  This is the prettiest box and prettiest little perfume sample I have ever seen!  I want to keep box forever! This is going right by my bedside so I can see it every day.  The scent is also very light and is fruity too not just florals.  The full size bottle is so beautiful

Nails inc, Matte Top Coat -  ($10)   This is a good idea to use when you are painting your nails with a really light color - put this on first to hide your nails and then paint away - saves you from doing several coats too - Ramblings Jen gave me this idea!  I was surfing around their site though and found another bottle I want- Crystal Cap Nail Polish.

Proganix REPAIR. Reparative Oil + Anti-Breakage -  ($11.99)  This is a leave-in oil to put in your hair after washing - which I use every time I wash my hair.  My daughter straightens her hair daily so this bottle will get used up right away. I do want to try one of the other options from this box - the Anti-Fade Hair treatment from the same company.

Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint (Flush)-  ($24)  Tarte is one of my favorite makeup brands - I got this product in Exposed just a few months ago.  I really like these lip tints.

Sesha Skin Therapy Cell-White Brightening Mask - ($9)   I am not a full mask person so I will probably pass this on to my mother who loves them.   It is supposed to brighten the skin.

The value of this box was $60.73 plus the bracelet price makes it $98.73 - I paid $21 for the subscription.   It is always a good idea to sign up for a box when they are offering a free gift with such a great value.  Did you like your box this month?  I think it was a little better than a few past months.
