Serendipity July 2015

What's in
the bag?

Serendipity is the bag Little Lace Box sends on the off month of Little Lace Box - it is free for current subscribers or $9.99 a month if you are not subscribed.  These are items they would like to send us but do not match the themes of month.

Get Dirty Bud Bar by Mindful Minerals -   ($4) This contains no parabens or sodium Lauryl Sulfates which is very important to me when it comes to beauty products.  I do not, however, like the smell.  I do not think I could wash myself with this bar if you end up smelling like it.

Malibu C Miracle Repair Hair Constructor   ($3 for .5 ounces)  This is also a vegan product that contains helpful vitamins to restore your hair after the sun, heat, and pool.

Steep & Go by The Tea Spot -  ($5.95)  How did I not know this was a thing?  You can make your own fresh cold tea without heat in a water bottle.  Perfect for on the go!  I love this idea!

Chill Out, Organic Loose Leaf Tea -  ($1.29)  This pairs with the Steep & Go to help make your fresh cold brew tea.  This takes only 10 minutes to finish!  I am still in awe of this cute little product and wonder what other flavors these come in.

Einvite.com cards - ($5)  These are so cute!  I love getting cards in my boxes - I am a paper freak at heart.  I would have picked these exact cards too.

There have only been two Serendipity bags and this one is my favorite of the two.  There was variety and useful items.

What did you like about the Serendipity bag?  Did you know about the Steep & Go?

Hello! Bliss Box

What's in
the box?

Hello! Bliss Box ships to your door for $28.95 with free shipping - I got the box with a coupon and saved $5.  I had not heard of this sub box before reading about it on Ramblings of a Suburban Mom's blog.

Bliss Box includes a post card describing all of the items in the box.

AA Milne quote -   This is not listed on the card but it is a nice little quote card.   I have loved this quote for a long time so it is perfect for me.

Blue Druzy Earrings by Styled Simplicity   ($10) These are handmade from a little Etsy vendor and they are very pretty.  I think I will take them on vacation.

Facets of the Sea by Primal Elements - ($9) I love getting free soap in my boxes so this is perfect.  I would have picked out a different one but it is a pretty color.

An American Flag -   I love that they included a flag in the box but now I am wondering if I got July's box or June's???

Qi'a Dark Chocolate Cranberry Almond bar -  ($1.79 )  A gluten-free snack bar that is right up my alley!  Love this flavor.

Dotted J Elastic headbands - ($10.50)  These are very cute elastic headbands.  It is from another Etsy shop, which I love because I like to support women building their own businesses.

Perfectly Posh Lipsophistication Carmel Cray Cray with samples  ($4) I am a Perfectly Posh consultant so I loved seeing a little goody bag in the box of samples and a lip balm.  Our lip balms are lanolin, paraffin, and paraben free.  This also included an It Girl BFYHC  (big fat yummy hand creme) sample and a Gender Bender soap sample (charcoal soap - great for acne and oily skin).

The price of this box is pretty close to the value of it but I loved the contents so it was worth it to me.  It would be a nice box to send as a gift to a friend.

L'OCCIBOX Spring Collection by L'Occtaine

What's in
the box?

L'Occtaine has a Spring collection box and sells for $48 but with code SUGAR, you can get the box for $20 plus shipping.  I missed the last one and was really upset so as soon as I saw it, I bought it.  This is still for sale.  The whole box smelled of roses as I opened it.  I am also a lover of all things French!

First look:

L'Occtane Serum - ($16)  The full size of this is $70 so it will probably not be purchased but I am interested in trying it.   It is an anti-aging serum.

Bonne Merre Rose Soap -   ($7)  This is a very pretty soap!  I love both sides of it and it smells like roses - hence the name.

Champagne Bears - ($8)  I first thought these were bubble bath bears but they are a snack - a champagne gummy bear.  Gummy bears are one of my favorites and having a champagne flavored box of them is fantastic!  I just might eat these in my bubble bath surrounded by candlelight and drinking a glass of wine.

Shea Whipped Hand Cream -  ($12)  This is a nice sized tube and I love the packaging. I love Shea butter and it is whipped.

Shea Butter Hand Cream -   ($3.50)  This is a smaller tube and is for dry skin.  I have a lot of hand creams but I will check this out.

The value of this is dead on without the coupon so I am glad I had it.  This was a fun Spring box that smells just like a flower garden.

Fortune Cookie Soap Box: Old Fashioned Family Christmas

WHAT'S IN THE BOX?

Fortune Cookie Soap box is a quarterly box for $19.99.  This box is now sold out but you can sign up for the spring one here.  Please note they will charge when you sign up, not at the time of shipment.   The nice thing is this box includes a $10 coupon to use on their site at the launch of the new season.

"I Pledge Allegiance, Amen" Shower Steamer - this smells overly minty but not in a good way.  It is definitely on my just okay list for this box.  This might actually help your sinuses if you steamed with it.

"Moose Mug" Cuticle Butter -   I was very happy to get a cuticle butter in my box.  I want to compare it to my Posh one.  Rich cream, egg and nutmeg - as in egg nog!  It is a nice aroma and so far I like this cuticle butter.

Christmas Bonus - Deep Conditioner -   This is fun!  It's a little guess the fragrance and win a $50 gift certificate.  Unfortunately, my sinuses have clogged up my sense of smell.

"Jello Surprise" Whipped Cream -   There were four selections that could have been in your box this month.  I was really hoping for the Jelly of the Month club that smells like strawberries and vanilla sugar.  I might actually get that with my $10 off coupon.  This says festive plum with a zesty curl of citrus.

"Sparky" Hydrate Me -  This is a cute, little, light bulb soap smelling of vanilla pumpkin waffles and pecans.  This is a tiny little soap that hydrates your skin.

"Fried Pussycat" Whipped Soap -  The title on this one is hysterical - and exactly what does Fried Pussycat smell like?? According to Fortune Cookie, it's juicy plum and whipped caramel wrapped in artisan bourbon vanilla and jasmine blossoms.  WOW!  I really like the smell on this one - it is the Plum that is overpowering.  NICE!

"Mele Kelekimaka" OCD Hand Sanitizer -  This one is described as tropical spiced rum, jasmine florals and woodsy.   I do not know that this smells very Hawaiian but it isn't an unpleasant odor.

"Tis the Season to be Mary" Fortune Cookie Soap -  Every box includes one of these and they are my favorite thing in the box!  The aroma is sweet almond and tobacco - yes, tobacco!  Not really a scent I enjoy but it does not take over the almonds.

Taking into account all things, it was not a bad box - some of the smells were not my favorite but I like the variety of items.   It did put me in the mood for Christmas!  So excited to decorate this year!

Soap from Basin

Surprise Soap Bag

Basin is a store in Orlando that I found out about through another blogger.  Ramblings of a Suburban Mom mentioned that they had grab bags of soap for $10 and I thought that sounded like a great deal.  Shipping was $6.95 so it was a good that they were just $10.
These surprise bags regularly sell for $35 so get them while the price is so low!

It came in this cute plastic Basin Bag that I can re-use for other stuff.  These soaps are vegetable glycerin soaps.

Here is a look at the 6 soaps I received:

Mediterranean Mint Soap ($5.99)  this bar soap is mint and rosemary.  It has very pretty leaves in it.  I like this one very much.

Wine Soap ($6.99) this is a very pretty fuchsia color and I love wine so this is a perfect soap for me.

Tomato Juice Soup Soap ($5.99) according to the website, fresh tomatoes bring Vitamin C and antioxidants to your skin and fights off other scents.

Blue Bell Soap ($5.99) According to the website, this is sweet melon, pear, and citron are entwined with praline and patchouli.

Tahitian Vanilla soap ($6.59) I could not find this soap on the website.  They must have discontinued this one but it is one of my favorites from this bunch.

Green Frog soap ($5.99)  this is my favorite of the soaps!  I love frogs!  This is a kiwi scented soap.

This was a fantastic grab bag - I got all these soaps for $16.95 with shipping and retail was $42.93.  I was hoping for one of the Fall soaps but I just might have to place an order to get one of them.
