Target Beauty Box

What's in
the box?

Target has a seasonal beauty box that ships four times a year.  This box is $5 and sells out fast - it is not a subscription you can sign up to keep getting; it's first come, first serve.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel-cream - ($17.99)  This is a tiny little gel cream.  It is to moisturize your neck and face.  It will not last very long to test out but I will use it.  I will probably not be buying this in full size but it is a good throw in your purse in case of emergencies moisturizer.

Maybelline Color Elixir by Color Sensational Lip C0lor -  ($5.49)  This is one of my favorite drug store brands and I love that there is a lip product in the box.

Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Renewal System Shampoo - ($2.50~)
My only complaint is not having a conditioner to go with this.  I cannot wait to try it.

TREsemme TRES Two Extra Hold Hairspray -  ($1.47)  This is probably the item in the box I am least excited about.  I rarely use hairspray so this will last forever.

L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Spray & Set -  ($13.29)  I use a setting spray daily so I love getting this in my beauty box.  I did not know L'Oreal made one either, so this will be nice to sample.

This is a great box and well worth the $5 plus tax that was charged for it.  I am so happy I grabbed this one in time before it sold out.  The box also included a $3 off your next $15 beauty purchase at Target.

Sunday Funday!

I love lazy Sundays... staying in my pajamas all day and watching the rain.  I drank some of my favorite Mocha flavored International Delight iced coffee.  I also like to online shop on days like this!

Hautelook has some fun beauty stuff and Eva NYC products.

Smashbox Smoke & Mirrors set includes a bag, lipgloss, waterproof eye lid primer and eye shadow palette.  This set is only $10 on the site.

Eva NYC has a whole line of hair care that I really enjoy.  This Mane Tamer was one of my Ipsy points buys.  I was happy to see it on Hautelook at a discount.  This was $10 on the Hautelook site.   They have other hair masks, shampoo and conditioners as well.

Did you find some good buys today?  Did you make it to Target for the Lily Pulitzer collaboration?

Friday Deals and Steals!

So I finally unsubscribed to Ipsy.  I have a drawer full of sample sized makeup I will never get through and could not justify keeping this subscription box.  I will miss the little pink package in the mail every month.

I am currently subscribed to Loot Crate, Birchbox, Little Lace Box, Wantable (I pick from Makeup, Accessories, and Intimates each month), and PopSugar Must Have.  I pick a new one each month to try out or if I see a spoiler for Glossybox or Boxycharm I can grab it up.

This month I added So Susan's Lip Love.  Still waiting on my first bag.  This is one that lets you skip months or send one to a friend.  Very cool idea.   This is $15.95 a month for three lip items and a bonus item - as well as a cute bag.  This is also the first bag I have tried from a cosmetics line.

There are so many Mother's day box sales going on - check out Ramblings of a Suburban Mom's awesome post here.  She did a great job of listing all the deals.

Enjoy the weekend!

Birchbox April 2015

What's in
the box?

Birchbox is one of the first boxes I joined when I found out about subscription boxes.  I have been with them over a year and they keep getting better and better.  In the beginning days when I did not get the items I liked, I stayed because of the points system.  Birchbox has an amazing online store that you earn points in by reviewing, sharing, and purchasing items.

This month's box arrived later than I expected.  But I was happy to see that box in the mail.

The box this month was beautiful - they have been on a design roll with the boxes this year.  All of them have been so pretty.  I do wish I also had the monthly box.  I chose a Mad Men curated box - New York - this month.  It is different from the Birchbox monthly box.

First Look:

Liz Earle Eyebright Soothe Eye Lotion - ($8.33)  This is the reason I chose this box.  I have seen this on the Birchbox site and wanted to try it out.  It is supposed to brighten tired eyes.

Whish Shave Cream (Blueberry)  -  ($2.90)  This is a Birchbox staple item - you will get a shave cream and a lotion from Whish while you are a member of Birchbox.  I really like this cream though.  I do not mind non-lathering lotions;  my Perfectly Posh shave cream does not foam up either and it is perfect.

Beauty Protector - Protect & Oil -  ($2)  This is another Birchbox staple - I have gotten at least 2 of these products in my Birchboxes.  This is for your hair to curb those fly aways and frizzies.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel -   ($6.68)  Truthfully, I would rather this have been a lip gloss from this company.  This has rich botanical conditioners and is for smoothing those brow hairs.  I am trying to convince my husband to try this since his eyebrows are quite unruly.

Cargo Swimmables Water Resistant Blush in Los Cabos -  ($7.50)  I was also thrilled this came in the New York box because it is so pretty.  It is waterproof and I love the packaging.

I thought this was a terrific curated box - a great variety of products and ones I have not sampled before.

The Birchbox Bonus items have really been awesome these last few months.   This month I chose Rifle Paper Company cold drink tumbler and notebook.  The print on the tumbler is the same as the regular Birchbox this month.  The set was $20 and they shipped it with my Birchbox.

Thursday Thoughts!

I am linking up with Ramblings of a Suburban Mom today for Thursday Thoughts!

This has been a busy week of online purchasing.  I was able to grab a Target Beauty Box before it sold out - these boxes are seasonal and are $5 a box which includes shipping.

After seeing this one, I think I will cancel my Walmart seasonal box.  They have been sending me foil packets and items I will never use so it is time to cancel.

I am still waiting on my Birchbox and Little Lace Box for April.  I am happy I decided to add the Bonus items this month for Birchbox.

In my Glossybox this month was a coupon code for Thursday Friday bags.  The discount was for 50% off any purchase.  I picked out a cute bag.

While perusing Instagram, I found the cutest keychains/charms.  These are Laduree Charms and they have the cutest Paris themes.  Some have the macaroons and some have poodles.  I am in love with them - they are $67 a piece though so I will be asking for one of these as a gift.

Any deals out there I should know about?  Any cute makeup I need to add to my collection?

Tuesday is Monday's Ugly Sister!

I did a little shopping online last week and a few things have come in.  Shop Miss A is a really inexpensive site that has a variety of items.  The majority of their items are jewelry but they do have some makeup and accessories.

Kids Cartoon Folding Mirror Comb (Pink Kitty and Blue Bunny) - ($1 each)  I saw these on the site and could not resist these for my friend's little girls.

Colorful Stone Studded Chain Bracelet (Blue) - ($1) I love blues so this is perfect for me.  I love how it dangles on my wrist.  A majority of the items I buy from Miss A are bracelets.

Colorful Stone Studded Chain Bracelet (Mint) -   ($1)  I like this one so much, I got it in the mint too.

Etched and Bead Bracelet (Black) -  ($1) This was so pretty that I could not pass it up.  It looks even prettier in purpose.

My Perfectly Posh recruit bonus came in today too.  Poshymallow is a great scent and now I have it in a scrub.  These are so nice in the shower.  You can not buy this scent though - it is reserved for promotions like recruit bonuses and Day Away bundles when you a Posh consultant.

Glossybox April Box

What's in
the box?

This box had me at the cover!  I had already cancelled this box but when I saw the preview of this box on Instagram, I jumped at ordering it.  Glossybox ships for $21 a month and is a great quality box.

How pretty is this box?  I love the makeup theme.

First look:

Marrakesh Ends Argan & Hemp Oil Therapy - ($5.99)  I always love getting this type of hair product in my boxes; I use these every time I wash my hair.  I will be buying this in full size.

Enlighten from Estee Lauder - ($15~)  The full size is $62 and I have never bought it but I have gotten a few samples in my many boxes.  I have liked the way my skin felt after this but I prefer my Perfectly Posh Sweet Dreams.

Julep's Gel Eye Glider -   ($16) I do like this brand but I do not use eyeliners frequently enough to like getting them in my boxes.  I will pass this on to my sister who loves eye products.

Obsessive Compulsive Lip Tar & Stain-  ($18) I have gotten this before in boxes and have been very happy with it - although these usually do come with a little brush for application and this one did not have that.

Aerin Waterlily Sun - ($20)  This smells so pretty and reminds me of Spring.  I am happy with the size of this sample too - I have a dozen small vials of perfume. I prefer this size.

Thursday Friday bag -  ($25.50) This is an exclusive for Glossybox but similar bags ran for $25.50 and I love this.  It is so gorgeous and I will use it for my lippies.  There was also a mystery gift card in the pouch to use on their website.  Still deciding what I want to pick.  The gift card is for 50% OFF!

I came up with a value of $100 for this box; a great buy at $21.  I am most excited about the Thursday Friday bag and gift card.  Definitely happy I picked up this box.   It has a great variety of products and a lifestyle item.
