Saturday Deals and Steals!

Quarterly is having a 50% sale on some of their past boxes and I found one that I really loved.  It was the Glamour Box by Coco.  It sold out so fast!  It has over $75 value and was on sale for $25.

There are still a lot of their boxes still available - even the really nice ones that are not on sale.  

Hautelook is another site I follow to get great deals on makeup - right now Stila, Tarina Tarantino cosmetics, and Crown brushes are on it.  Stila ends Monday at 8 AM Pacific.

Tarina Tarantino is a cosmetic brand that I occasionally find in my subscription boxes and I love it - this sales ends Sunday at 8 am Pacific.  This makeup line is so pretty.  I am really considering getting the Dollskin Cream blush and Pressed Sparklicity in Mr. Pink.

Crown brushes sales also ends Monday at 8 am Pacific.  This brush set is on sale for $10.  My favorite brush right now is a crown eye shadow brush that has a brush on each end!  Love it!

Benefit Sale!

What did I get on sale?

Benefit was doing an online sale and I have been eyeing a few things on their site for awhile - great time to pick up 2 that were on sale!

With your order, you can choose two samples.  I selected Total Moisture face cream and Instant Comeback Age-Defying Booster Serum. 

HighFlyin' Glosses was on sale for $26 and sold out with this sale.  It has all 6 of their little glosses.  Almost all of the glosses have a matching blush which is really fun! Another great thing about their glosses is that they smell great too!  I hate glosses that stink

Sugarbomb - (full size $16)  This is probably my favorite of the Benefit glosses.  It is so pretty on and tastes yummy!  This is also comes in a blush that I want to get next! 

Hoola -    (full size $16)  This is a shimmering golden nude.  There is also a bronzing powder   for this that is a best seller.  

Dandelion -  (full size $16)  They describe this as a soft pearly pink.  This is so pretty and also comes in a blush shade as well.  A dupe for this blush is L'Oreal True Match in Baby Blossom.  

Bella Bamba -   (full size $16)  This one is described as sheer bright watermelon! Love that! This comes in a very pretty blush too. A dupe for the blush is NYX's Apricot. 

Coralista - (full size $16)  This is the other one that I had tried before I bought it - described as a sheer coral - and so pretty on.  This might be the one that has the prettiest blush. 

Dallas - (full size $16)  The website described this one as dusty rose.   This also comes in a pretty blush!  A good dupe for the blush is Max Factor Mulberry.

Cabana Glama - your destination makeup kit - ($36) I got this on sale for $18.  

This kit includes the Posie Tint, the Hoola bronzing powder with brush, some kind of gorgeous- medium foundation, and an eye shadow pallet with brush.   The foundation is not too dark either, which I was worried about since I am very light skinned. 

I like that once you use this all up, it is a cute little keepsake box.  I cannot wait to keep little treasures in this.

Boxycharm January 2015

Boxycharm is a subscription box that ships to you for $21 a month.  I had signed up over a year ago and cancelled this because their boxes were not that great.  But they have totally done a turn around and are putting out some great boxes.  They promise 4 full sized items and a luxury item each month.  They also now ship to PO Boxes which is great.

Pur-Lisse Skin Sparkle Flash Tattoos - ($12) This was probably the item I was the least excited about - will probably pass this on to a friend.  

Beauty for Real The Perfect Pencil -   ($14)  This is a very nice lip pencil.  Love that they gave us this with lip cream.  Perfect pairing!  I rarely get a lip pencil in a subscription box - usually it is an eyeliner.   Use BFRLUVSBOXY for 20% your purchase before January 31.

Beauty For Real True Color Lip Cream in Always There - ($22) How cute is this lip gloss?  It has a mirror on the side to apply your lip cream!  So cute and the perfect shade!

 Mirabella Face Prime  -  ($29)  Wow - the value of this box just gets higher and higher!  I cannot wait to try this face primer.  I like this cosmetic brand - it is popular in subscription boxes.

tarte Maracuja Bronzing Serum -  ($47)  The ladies on my makeup addict Facebook page have either hate this or love it - some say it turned their skin orange.  It must be something that only works for certain skin tones.  I will probably have the orange since my skin is so white I look like a ghost.  I will give it a try and pass it on to my sister if it does turn me orange.

The value on this box was $124!  That was astonishing!  I have never seen a box that was this price point have that much in value.  So glad I signed back up for this one. 

Loot Crate January 2015

the box?

Loot Crate is a monthly subscription box that is $13.99 a month but they charge a shipping fee so it ends up being close to $20 a month.  You can use the code SAVE3 to save $3 off your first months box.

I get this one for my daughter and it is her favorite. I have tried to get her to cancel it to try Nerdblock and 1up or one of the other nerd boxes but she refuses.  Loot Crate is perfect according to her.

This month's theme was Rewind and promised a Star Wars and Voltron item.   Loot crate does not always do t-shirts, but when they do, they are always exclusive.

They have also been decorating the inside of the box which is very fun!  This month it looked like an old Nintendo game system.

Voltron Blueprint T-Shirt -   This is super soft and my daughter loved it!  Most of their shirts have been black - I think we had a red one once.  But my daughter loves black t-shirts so this has been perfect for helping out her wardrobe! 

Comic Note Book - This is a cute little note book to create your own comics! How Fun!

Star Wars Comic Book -  This is a Loot Crate exclusive comic book.  Love the cover! 

 10-Doh Figurine -   My daughter did not notice at first that he was a little figurine.  How cute is he with his little laser gun from Nintendo.  We had one of these systems growing up and I remember playing Mario Bros on it for hours.  

Black Tie Geek Retro Skinny -   These look like little spaced invaders guys!  SO cute!

8-Bit glasses -   These reminded me of Max Headroom for some reason.  Super cute! and Retro!

We thought this was one of their best boxes ever!  Usually the value of the other items is not as high when there is a t-shirt in Loot Crate but we thought this was not the case this month!  Terrific t-shirt and all the other items were nice quality items!  A total win! I hope everyone is having a terrific weekend!  I know this post is a day late.  I wanted to add some more to it and ended up going to my sister's house for dinner and games.  We played Picwits and Headbands.   Picwits is like Apples to Apples but with picture cards - so fun!

I have a friend who loves music and I got her the Music Box subscription for Christmas.  This box ships to you for $10 a month.   I am excited for her to get her first box next month and let me know what she thinks.

I went to Sephora to pick up Naked on the Run from Urban Decay with my gift card and it was sold out.  They have a new shipment coming Tuesday so I have to hurry back there and get one before they sell out again.  I have a gift card for this too so I will not have to pay the full $54 on this one.

Not much else is happening here this weekend.  I do have Loot Crate January 2015 to review and am expecting Boxycharm any day now.

Wantable Intimates 2015

the box?

Wantable is a monthly subscription box that ships for $36 and there are 4 choices of boxes.  You can select to get all 4 every month or pick and choose which ones you get.  You can skip every box or just one or two.  There is an Intimates box, an Accessories box, a Fitness box, and a Makeup box.  All boxes are completely refundable.  If you do not like your box, send it back for a full refund.

This month I chose to have a Wantable Intimates box because I knew they were including Muk Luk Slipper Sox.  

Wantable boxes are very custom made.  You fill out an online questionnaire and tell them what you Love, Like and Hate.  You will never get items on your Hate list.  You will get your items between your Love and Like list, always getting items from your Love lists.  They have also recently added a comments section so you can speak directly to your stylists.  I used mine this month to make sure I got the Muk Luks!

First Look:

Muk Luks Slipper Sox - ($24)  I was so excited when I saw this was an option this month. I love this brand of slippers!  I gave them out as Christmas gifts this last year and wanted a pair of the slipper sox for myself.  

Seamless Boyleg Black - ($12)  These were my least favorite item in the box.  They are like boyshorts but not very comfortable.  

Pajama Drama Nouveau Racerback in grey ($21)  This is a pajama tank top and super soft.  It is not really a winter item but I will like this come summer.  I was pleasantly surprised that it fit so nicely.

Pajama Drama Nouveau Cami with Lace in Navy -  ($21)  This is so pretty and I love the color.  It is also very soft and I can wear it under sweaters.

I was very pleased with my Intimates box this month.  I will probably get this one again next month.  This box had a value of $78 and I loved almost everything in the box.

I have been wanting to try a few things from this brand and with this sale, I was able to pick them up for a great steal!  

How 'bout them apples?  is usually $32 but was on sale for $16.

I love collecting palettes the Nude'tude was on sale for $18, which is half price! 

 I have also been looking at the Manizers and picked up Cindy Lou Manizer.  This highlighter is $12 on sale, regularly $24.

Their Instain blushes are on the site too for half off.  These come in gorgeous shades.

I wish they had a better deal on their brushes - I would have loved to pick up the entire set of them.  They are so cute.
